Good Intentions

The silver and gray male moved with purpose away from Abaven's lands. He was thankful that he had found a willing healer there. The thought that this was Sin’s son still weighed heavily on his mind. On his heart. He knew he was doing the right thing, but the fact that the devil probably wouldn’t even give a damn that he’d done it burned him up inside. Where was the man anyway? Here his son was, in some lone lands hiding underneath a hollowed tree, and where was Sin? The very thought made him sick.
But the identity of the patient in question, as well as his thoughts, were kept to himself. Cypress lead the way through the lands occasionally glancing over his shoulder to make sure that Starling hadn’t been lost in his scramble to get back to Sheerrun. Deep down, maybe, just maybe he was afraid of Sin getting to the child before he got there with help. Before Sheerrun’s injury could be treated.
Arriving at the tree that Sheerrun had hid under Cypress would turn, glancing to Starling with a somber expression. “Here we are.” His bicolored gaze would turn towards the opening under the tree. He was sure that Sheerrun had moved towards the back of the hollowed tree. Hoping to not startle the lad Cypress would call out in a clear tone; “Sheerrun? I’m sending in a healer to have a look at you.” He’d then glance to Star, giving him a nod.

The tri-colored young looked to his wounded leg with a small sigh, the sounds of the wind reverberating past his lobes. His optical receivers looked to the clouds that began to form over the landscape, and the smell of the flowers and grass that were under the tree where he lay surrounded his nostrils, causing him to sneeze from the intoxicating fragrance that rolled throughout the landscape. The brute however, would tilt his ears to the side when he heard the sounds of pawsteps upon the leaves and grass that were on the ground, and he would give a small sigh before seeing Cypress pop his head inside the hollow tree from where Sheerrun was resting. He nodded in acceptance. "Sir, please don't think that my father left me here. I had run off and caused myself to be hurt, and he is basically the only parent I have now. My mother died and Sin has been someone who has been kind to me as well as my siblings and half-siblings," he spoke, his voice rather shy, yet gentle and calming to the ears as the sounds of birds echoed through his ears. Rain would pour upon the ground in large droplets. When he went to move his paw out for Starling to take a look at it, shooting pain shot throughout his form as he yelped and whimpered from the pain. |
