It was dark, a full moon was brilliant in a clear and cloudless sky. It was surprising how much light it could provide to the earth below and the young wolf found herself twitching and fidgeting in restlessness. In her den, when it was night it was dark, and she couldn't even see the brilliant blue of her daddy's face markings, nor the softer yellow golds of her mother. Here, there was so much that her mothers gold seemed to sparkle in its tones. Of course, it looked really pretty but that was besides the point. She finally sighed, sneaking her toes into the warmth of her mothers belly and likely (hopefully) waking her mother from slumber.

“Mummy, are you awake?” she wanted to know, her whisper was quiet in some effort not to wake the whole entire family. Simply assuming that Anais was awake she crept closer to her mother and kept her voice very quiet. “Whos the funny purple one called again? How do you remember all the names of all our uncles and aunties? And what there part in the pack is. Its so much to remember!” her wail was done with a stunning lack of noise, keeping their conversation just between the two of them.

Walk | Talk | Think

Anais slept soundly, snuggled up beside her mate and children and enjoying the quiet night that seemed to be keeping Seraphiel awake. She was unaware of her daughter's inability to sleep, or of the thoughts that were currently keeping her up. With as much work as keeping up with the kids was proving to be, especially as they were finally released from the den, the golden hunter needed her rest to keep up with and watch them both, but her daughter knew her well. The gentle wriggling of her child's toes within the soft fur of her stomach tickled, causing the restful mother to stir and stretch a little where she lay, cracking an eye open to see Sera looking at her expectantly.

Her golden eyes closed again, but the whispered voice of her daughter prevented her from slipping right back into slumber as she curled herself a little closer to the girl. "What is it, sweetheart?" she whispered back through a drowsy mumble, not quite comprehending just how awake and how deep Sera's thoughts were going until she posed her questions about the family. Goodness, she was doing an awful lot of thinking for it being so late.

Anais blinked her eyes open again and aimed another glance at the frost-marked child, drawing in a breath before answering. "There's a lot of them, but the longer you're around them the easier it gets to remember," she explained, assuming the same had been true for her when she first arrived to meet them. She could understand perhaps a little more easily than expected the sort of trouble Sera spoke of having with remembering them all. "I think the one you're talking about is Aunt Gale," she added, unable to help the smile that turned up the corners of her mouth in the dark.
