leaves of spring

Hmmm, the ground here was soggy, squishy but not... puddle-y. It was nice, for a change. So many places were coated in mud, like just about every square inch of Abaven's lands (which was quite annoying). But she decided to head here, and she noted new growth on the trees, a smile on her face. On her back rode Farrym - the sand cat was now mature, she was certain, or nearing it; he was still so tiny but hadn't grown for a while. But either way, he was with her; she hadn't traveled with him for so long and felt quite bad about it. But here, yes, this was good.

Locha trudged through the small forest. Her white and blue tipped paws were almost as black as the rest of her from her travels. It seemed Donostrea hadn't been the only lands that hadn't fared very well this Spring. It seemed that there were always rainclouds rolling on the horizon. Although the woman didn't particularly mind the getting wet part of rain, it was just the fact that it made travelling all that harder. Oh well. At least this area wasn't too bad. The blossoming trees and shrubs soaked up a lot of the water and were the drizzle to begin again, would provide ample coverage. Blue eyes searched out around her, ears pricked. Were those pawsteps she'd heard? Eyes locking on to a figure in the distance, or rather two it seemed. A woman and something smaller could be seen just between some trees from where Locha stood. With a smile, the water-girl barked, hopefully alerting the two of her precense before making her way through the shrubs.

Oh? Lillianna's ears would perk and her head would swivel at a bark, and she'd lay eyes upon... yet another unnaturally colored wolf. Huh. This one was the same colors of Calypsei; a cool ocean blue, though unlike Calypsei this wolf was only accented with them instead of fully coated in the colors. Farrym would stand on her back, like a meerkat would, his paws tucked into his chest as he mrred in her ear excitedly. "Yes, I see," she murmured to the cat, green eyes still focused on the figure that was now only a few feet in front of her. "Hello," she'd greet softly, almost warmly.

As the two came into more detail before her, Locha noticed the woman's reciprocated smile. She had vibrant green eyes that stood out against the rustic red and black of her coat. The thing, or who rather, that really caught her eye, was this woman's companion. Whatever it was it was quite small, and unlike anything Locha had seen before. If she was going to stretch, it vaguely resembled a small, beige otter. Flashing a smile at the thing she looked back to the woman, tail wagging faintly behind her.
Good afternoon! she said brightly. The blossoms were floating down around then now, rustled by the wind. Escaping from the rain? she guessed jokingly.

Lillianna would chuckle at the woman's bright grin and joking guess. "And the mud, and the raging rivers," she added with a snort. As the other female approached, she could smell Donostrea; oh, the pack she checked up on? "You're from Donostrea aren't you?" she asked, curiosity in her eyes. It was then Farrym would scramble from her back, and scuttled towards Locha, sniffing at her paws if he was able to, a bright "Hello!" being chirped by the cat. Lillianna would watch in amusement for a moment, watching Locha and wondering what the reaction would be to her dear companion.

"And the mud, and the raging rivers," The woman snorted and Locha joined in with a chuckle. The woman then surprised her by guessing her pack spot on. Eyes widening slightly Locha smiled. "Yup." she chirped. "Locha Elementas, Aqaelus of Donostrea, at your service. she said with a hint of sarcastic gusto. Her eyes widened further when the woman's companion was off her back in a flash and down near Locha's feet. It spoke up with a little "Hello." Locha giggled warmly. "Hello to you too." Looking back up to the woman with a slightly incredulous look, she said I don't blame you. I love the water, but I've had to cross one too many muddy rivers in the past few days."

The woman noted the surprise, amusement sparkling briefly. It wasn't too difficult, once she knew the scent... and she knew the scent of most of the packs, except Borealis, the new Sonticus pack. Unless new packs sprung up? Possibly, she wasn't sure. She hadn't left the eastern region of Alacritia in quite the while. "Lillianna, seconda pattuglia of Abaven," she returned, a faint smile crossing her features. That smile would widen at her reaction to Farrym, who would let out a loud purr at Locha's response. "He's a feline - I found him in the desert when he was a kitten," she explained, chuckling. She nodded at the woman's answer, a snort emerging. "Same." As she spoke, though, her eyes wandered to Farrym, who had just leaped in an attempt to jump onto Locha's back.
