Arkay's white paws batted slowly at the little green snake in front of him. It was kind of long, but really thin and the brightest green he had ever seen. It wasn't incredibly flightly, he could bat at it and it would just kind.. back up instead of running away. While he knew not to mess with the venomous snakes this guys didn't look like he could do any harm. The young Destruction's hindquarters were wiggling in the air while he had his elbows to the ground and his bright tangerine gaze zeroed in on the serpent. Chocolatey tail wiggled eagerly from his rump, the only other real movement he made beside his experimental batting. He almost felt like a cat! He'd enjoy his time during that cool spring evening, even with the slightly chilly breeze.

And speaking of cats; it was then Farrym noticed the snake, not really caring about the wolf beyond it. He was focused on his prey, his desires; the slithering green thing that was visible through the mud and the wetness of the plains.. though it wasn't nearly as wet as near the river. It was distracted, and in that time Farrym would strike - sharp claws slamming its head down and slicing into its neck, his other paw slicing into the back of the snake. It was the small cat was batted - and being as small as he was, he was struck off the snake. The cat hissed, claws swiping at the nose of the thing that batted him.

Lillianna would follow much more slowly, smiling as Farrym scampered off; it was then she noticed Arkay... and heard the hiss. "What?" she muttered to herself, somewhat startled as she tried to see what was happening

Arkay was quite content batting his new little snake friend around when suddenly there actually was a cat! He'd already batted him away by the time he realized what was going on, but he'd protected his snake in the end and that was what mattered. He'd pick the limp thing up in his jaws, not really noticing the kitty claws that struck at his muzzle. Flinching slightly he'd growl and raise his hackles, nobody stole from him! He'd have shown his teeth too, but there was too much snake in his mouth for that. The injured thing would wriggle in Arkay's jaws, clearly very much wanting his escape now instead of later. The line had been crossed and he was no longer mildly friendly. Finding a biting hold on Arkay's chest the boy would accidentally release it, and eagerly the snake would find its hold in the ground. The boy would growl again, both with disappointment and anger. "What did you go and do that for? It was mine!" He'd say, the same emotions shining in his eyes as he glared at the cat.

You know that sound that pissed cats made? That was the sound Farrym made - low and long as he stared with the ultimate look of kitty hatred. It was, of course, more intimidating and scary than any look a wolf could give; he was a cat, after all, and had long perfected such arts of hatred and anger. "It was my prey first," he hissed, glaring.

it was thenLillianna intervened, looking between the taller wolf and her cat. "Wait - what's going on here? Farrym?" she paused a second, trying to recall the other's name. "Arkay?"

The Hazelnut boy wasn't about to let this tiny cat get the better of him. He might have sounded scary, but Arkay was way bigger and not afraid. He'd knit his brows and take a step forward, still growling but now his tail had raised and was curling over his back. "No, it was mine first. We've been playing since this morning!" Stupid cat, think he owned everything anyway. He was suddenly aware of the other presence beside them. He wasn't about to run to the woman for help but, "He chased my snake away." The boy couldn't help but to say with a scowl towards the feline, his ears folding down to his skull as he tried to calm dow. He was so mad!

Farrym let out an annoyed hiss. "I've been stalking that snake since yesterday. I clawed it on its belly yesterday, but it go away!" And not very hard, either, much to the cat's annoyance. This was going to be his first real prey, and he was going to give it to Lillianna, but then this knucklehead stole it and started playing with it. You didn't play with prey. His tail lashed, another short growl bursting from him as his ears laid flat against his head.

Lillianna just stood there bewildered, looking from the sandcat to the yearling and back again. They were fighting... over a snake? What? "Uhhmm... how about we try to find another snake?" she asked awkwardly
