Creed had decided to wander away from Celestial for a little while. His sudden "mid-life crisis" wasn't exactly helping any so it felt good to get out and make himself feel like he was being useful. He felt the pack's borders were well secured, not that he felt like there were any threats waiting to challenge them, so he felt comfortable leaving for a little while. It wouldn't be a long absence and he wouldn't be travelling far. The southern part of Alacritia certainly wasn't too awful far from the Vericona plains and he was determined to travel as much as possible before he became too old to move anymore.

It was hard for him to wrap his head around the fact he'd be turning seven by the time summer rolled around. With his new rank as emissary he was determined to do his duty for as long as possible. It meant staying fit and memorizing as much as Alacrtia as he could (or that was his idea of it at least) so exploring was the best way to do that. He didn't get lost easy anyways so that was always to his advantage.

He'd been walking for a while before he came to a spot he hadn't been before. The place was dotted with weeping willow trees and Creed found this to be a good spot as any to take a break. It didn't take him long to detect a good sized tree to rest under so he padded over to it and plopped himself under it as he sat in the shade and enjoyed the cool breeze that ruffled his thick arctic fur. It wasn't the north but it was better than the summer time right now. He certainly wasn't complaining.

The sound of bells chimed through the willows, a soft song as the wolf who wore them danced around the trunks of the trees. A peel of soft laughter left her lips, although she didn't generally like to be alone, she was having a grand time. Weaving between the trees she hummed softly to herself, head bobbing to and fro to the beat. "A group of young soldiers one night in a camp, were talking of sweethearts they had. All would be glad except one Irish lad, who looked very down hearted and sad," she sang, an old Irish song she had picked up on the road. Her tail swung behind her as she sang, more bells ringing out to join her sweet voice. "I say won't you join us said one of the boys, surely you love someone too. He lifted his head and proudly he said, yes I'm in love with two. One has hair of silver grey, the other has hair of gold, one is young and beautiful, the other is bent and old. Those are the two that are dear to me, from them I never will part, for one is my mother, God bless her I love her, and the other is my sweet heart." Jaelle shifted from paw to paw as she danced, until at last she grew tired. Flopping on her rump, she panted a touch, looking around at the landscape around her. It was then that she saw the stranger who was leaning back against the tree trunk. Her blue and brown eyes inspected him, ears pulling back slightly as she grew more wary. Oh dear, did he hear her song? Slouching low to the ground she tried to disappear into the grass, but her gray body kind of made her stand out. The woman hoped that he hadn't seen her, and that she would be able to slink away. But with the sound of her bells, she doubted it. Still, a girl could dream!

Unless otherwise stated, Giet (Goat the stoat) is always with Jaelle. He is grumpy and mean, and may not always say nice things.

Creed had been resting quietly leaning against the tree trunk for a while as he enjoyed the breeze of the day. His eyes were closed and he listened to the wind as it whistled softly through the willows. Wildlife could also be heard though he had a habit of tuning it out slightly, trying to appreciate the silence while he could. He was more than thankful that he wasn't in the Estuary right now where all the birds made enough racket to prevent anyone from resting properly until nightfall came. He'd never been overly fond of birds, though he would admit that their songs were pretty when there weren't hoards of them screaming from the trees.

The silence was interrupted by a soft jingling of... were those bells? Yes they were bells and he could distinctly hear the voice of someone singing. It was a melodic voice and his eyes opened as he turned his head towards the source and just listened to the song. It was one he'd never heard before and he listened curiously. It sounded like the singer was getting closer and the closer it got the better he could hear the lyrics.

Finally the owner of the voice came into view and he was quick to notice the amount of accessories she carried on her. He observed the bells she wore and the scarf before he looked her over better. She was rather pretty, with a variation of spots he'd never quite seen before on another. It seemed she hadn't been aware of him though and his curiosity turned to surprise as she turned wary of him. Instantly she was crouching and trying to slink away from him. That certainly wouldn't do! It seemed she was afraid of him which didn't please him in the slightest. He wasn't scary! Or at least he didn't find himself to be. So he rose to his paws and began to head over towards her slowly, calling out as he did so.

"Wait! Ye don' have to leave. Ah'm not gonna hurt ye." He said softly, pausing as he didn't want to scare her off by getting to close. "Wha' was tha' song ye were singing?"

Even though she wished that she remained unseen, the male had obviously heard her. Cursing to herself, she slowly rose to her paws, pretending to look rather confused at his words. "Het spijt me, wat zei je?" She said in Dutch, her head tilting to the side. She had heard that others could speak English only in song and lyrics, so it would make sense if that was all she could say, right? Plus, it would be a lot of fun to see how this brute reacted to her sudden switch in languages. Who said that she couldn't have a little bit of fun with this stranger? So she switched gears, pushing away her fear and wariness of the strange man to play a little game. Fighting back a smirk, she struggled to keep her confused demeanor from slipping. She cleared her throat, lips pulling downwards in a frown as her blue and brown eyes looked him over. His accent was interesting, she had to admit that. Maybe he spoke another language too? It sounded a bit like Irish, and she only knew a few words in that dialect. Dutch was the only language that she knew in full, the rest were only bits and pieces. "Ik weet alleen dat nummer in het Engels, dat is alles." The lie flew easily out of her mouth, even though she was pretty sure that he had no idea what she was saying at all. Tsking her tongue, she moved to walk in a large circle around the male, studying his shape. He was strong, if he got mad she would probably have to make a run for it. Her bells rang softly as she moved around him, and she came to a stop in front of him once again. Just how long would she play this little game? Who knew, as long as she could hold in her laughter, at least. It would all rest on his interaction with her. She probably could have told him that he had a fat butt and he didn't know the difference. Maybe she would just start tossing out random words at him... Lips quivered as she held back her smile, ears pulling back to her skull slightly as she tried to keep herself in control.

Well he seemed to have gotten her attention. He felt kind of bad that he'd called her out. He realized that not everyone was as keen about interacting with others as he was and he probably should have just let her be and acted like he hadn't seen her. Regardless it was too late now so he wouldn't be beating himself over it any time soon. She popped up from her place and she seemed confused by his words. "Het spijt me, wat zei je?" Now it was his turn to be confused. Brows furrowed together in confusion as he tried to figure out if that was an accent, illegible english, or if it was a whole new language entirely. "Ik weet alleen dat nummer in het Engels, dat is alles."

Yep. Different language. He didn't recognized the language. It wasn't the Gaelic that Surreal used and it wasn't ever anything he'd ever heard so that wasn't helpful. He could pick out a few words from it and he sat in silence trying to figure it out. Lets see. Engels sounds like English. Alles is all... He sat there tyring to piece together the few words he recognized and finally came to the conclusion that maybe someone had taught her that song and she only knew it by memory and not by the understanding of the English language.

He opened his mouth to speak but instead shut it again as she circled him. The confused expression remained on his face as he watched her curiously waiting to see if she'd do anything. He noted the noise the bells made and he watched the trinkets curiously for a moment while trying to figure out a good way to communicate with her. This was going to be difficult... She stopped in front of him and he eyeballed her back. Least she had stopped moving for now.

"Creed." He said while raising a paw to touch his own chest signifying that he was introducing himself. "Ye?" He asked this time while pointing a paw to her, making his tone extra questioning.
