We only wander with the lights out

She hadn't really made any sort of progress in sorting out her life since she last saw her cousin. Really, if anything, she felt like she had backtracked in the figuring things out department. At least before she was actively searching for something and exploring. Now she just felt like she was wandering around the same group of places with no real destination. She slipped past the ghostly white trees, slowly making her way through the odd forest she had visited on several occasions in the past. She liked that it was odd and different. It reminded her of how she felt among her family members. The majority of her family was all natural, earth toned hues with the exception of her uncle with his dark red-hued fur and maybe her aunt if you wanted to count all black as unusual. She still wondered from time to time where her flash of orange and bright white came from, but her real father had always been a sore subject so she never really got any information about him from her mother. And now she was missing so who knew if she would ever find out. Her expression was completely neutral as she sauntered through the Alabasterine Shrine, keeping her busy thoughts from coming to the surface. |
