The summer was here and with it extreme heat. She mumbled under her breath about how unfair it was her brothers had lighter colored coats. Tongue hung out to the side as she panted, tail limp. Her body felt so heavy in this heat. Was summer going to be like this the whole time? She so hoped not, is was unbearable! Paws moved sluggishly as she made her way to the falls. Where were her brothers anyways? When was the last time she played with them or sneak attacked them? Surely it was over due! She loved to tackle them, being fairly smaller than both her brothers she felt she could throw her weight around literally. Heck to her they were perfect practice for her. What if she was attacked by someone? Chances were they would be bigger than her, so she had to know how to defend herself right? Thus making both Sorrel and Feli great pouncing and attacking dummys.
She would giggle to herself before skipping ahead, hearing the falls where close now. Tail waved behind her in a whirlwind, ears perking up. Before she knew it she was jumping off the edge side of the falls and plunging down into the cool water. She let out a gleeful howl on her descent down, and ended with a splash. Water closed in over her head as she kicked out to reach the surface. As she broke to the top and pulled in air and idea hit her. Surely her brothers were hot too. Jumping through the water to the shore and let out a howl calling for them before laughing, giddy with excite turned tail to hide behind some rocks, waiting to ambush them.
Sorrel spent more time alone these days than ever before if that was possible. He of course made sure to spend time with his family when he could, though it was harder and it seemed harder to do so the older the three Destruction-Gringoire children got. He hated that fact, there weren't many people he wished to spend his time with, his siblings, his parents and his cousin Novel made up the very short list of those he felt somewhat comfortable with. The awkward Sorrel however hardly presented himself as being a particularly comfortable fellow at all.
Whilst out of the den, the majority of Sorrel's time was dedicated towards learning. He wished to discover more about the plants and their healing properties the yearling's knowledge still currently rather limited. He had no ambitions to ever become a Drama one day though he certainly wanted to possess the amount of knowledge that his mother and cousin had and become as talented in the art of healing as the pair were. It'd take a while, but Sorrel found he had little else he desired to do.
There was of course an exception to that. His siblings, they didn't bond too much but he would make time for them between his studying and collecting. As Cerise called, the boy would make his way towards the sound, somewhat slow in his movements, rather cautious to avoid running into anyone else along the way. Left alone he would at last arrive though he couldn't see his sister's form and it seemed that his twin had yet to arrive. "Cerise?" He would call, beckoning the girl to appear.
The call of his sister would rise into the air, and F?licien would lift his head, gaze turning in the direction of the falls. Hmm...? He hadn?t seen Cerise much of the day, though with the heat he had been keeping in the shade. He bore a lighter coat but that didn?t mean he couldn?t get hot too. She seemed to be calling for both of the twins, making F?licien wonder what she was up to. But hey, as a brother it was his duty to find out, right? A grin would spread across his face and F?li would get to his paws. Who would get there first?
Paws would move across the ground in a jog, the fastest he was willing to go right now in the heat. Bi-colored gaze would fall on his mirror twin as he neared. Yet there was no sign of Cerise anywhere. F?licien would slow, flicking one ear back. ?What the heck is she up to now?? He would almost come to a stop, seeking his sisters form. Was she playing some sort of hiding game? Why call them if she wasn?t here anymore?
