Like a moth to a flame, Serefina was drawn to the volcano. With ease she picked her way up the steep slope, the warmth of the rock soothing her to her very core. A deep sigh left her body, her side leaning up against the side of the volcano. Finding the large flat area that her family used to stay in, the flame marked woman settled down on an outcrop of stone. Heat absorbed into her, even though it was summer, it was nice to feel it on her belly as well. This was the best season, when heat ruled over all. And took away the stupid snow. Her ears pinned back to her skull as she snarled at the thought of the stupid white substance. She hated winter with a fiery passion. This spring had hardly been any better though, with all the rain the ground had been wet and covered in mud. It was like walking through slush, and Sere also disliked water. In fact, there was probably more things that she hated than liked. She liked to fight though, oh yes. Her lips pulled back as she grinned a toothy grin, her body wiggling on the warm rock that she rested on. Maybe she should make her way to the battlefield and stretch her legs again. It had been awhile since her last fight, and it was nice to practice on someone other than her brother. At the thought of Voltage, her ears flicked back slightly. She hadn't seen him for quite some time, and her heart ached for her other half. They were together more than they were apart, and she missed him so much. Maybe Arcus had been right, maybe she couldn't live without him. Shaking her head, Serefina tried to instead focus on the warmth of the rock beneath her, to allow her soul to rest. She would set things straight sooner or later, she always did. "SPEAK!"

Was Dahlia here? Perhaps she was, perhaps she wasn't. He was having a hard time distinguishing scents in this ridiculously hot area. The heat did feel good on his paws, though. That was about the only thing. He was getting tired of chasing Dahlia down, making sure she didn't do anything stupid, but despite his annoyance... he was still worried. Still stressed about it. And no matter his annoyance, he would never abandon his sister. It didn't matter what - or who - she did, or the amount of trouble she got herself - or him - into; she was his sister and that was all there was to it.

So distracted he was he nearly missed the red beauty who was relaxing on the rocks not far from him. Maybe she had seen Dahlia? Or maybe not, and he'd just relax in some hopefully good company. "Miss?" he called softly, aiming to get her attention. She was fiery, dark and fiery - hopefully the temperament wasn't the same as this mountain.

"Speech"

She had been so engulfed in her thoughts that she hadn't even heard the male walk up. When he called out to her she snarled, leaping to her paws and baring her teeth at the sound. Realizing that it was a brute, and a rather good looking one at that, she blinked slowly and tried to calm herself. Once Serefina was mad though, it was hard to calm down at the drop of a hat. Her hackles were still raised, but she was able to unfurl her lips, but her ember eyes remained narrowed. "You shouldn't sneak up on others like that, you might get your nose bitten off," she said with a rumble. Forcing herself to sit down, her tail swished behind her in irritation. Her gaze roamed over his bodice, he looked like he was taller than her from here. Sere was raised on a rock though, so it was hard to tell just how much bigger than her he was. He had a nice coat though, it was nearly black with how dark it was. What really caught her attention was the pale silver markings under his eyes. Mm, interesting. She liked the look of them. Humming to herself, she blinked as she relaxed her eyes. Ever so slowly she was calming down, although her muscles remained ridged and her hackles still raised. She didn't do well with being scared. She was usually really good with being observant, but her thoughts had stolen all of her attention. "SPEAK!"

Okay, she definitely was as fiery as this mountain. When she leaped up, growling, fur fluffing up, his own fur rose and defenses were set rather rapidly. They stared at each other silently, waiting, testing, as the other slowly relaxed. She made a biting comment, and slowly Rowan would undo the defenses he had set, still eyeing the other warily. "Perhaps next time I'll bark to make my obvious approach even more obvious," he rumbled, though there was no real bite to his words, simply mildly. She sat down first, and he would slowly lower himself down. "I do apologize for startling you though, Miss. That was not my intention." They silently studied each other, his curious gaze roving over her red form. He had never quite seen such vibrantly colored fur - it was actually quite fascinating; if she was this bright of a red, what could her family's colors be? It was all very interesting.

Her eyes stayed narrowed at him, a growl rumbling in her throat at his words. "Watch it, buddy," she said with another snarl. He wasn't making a good first impression. Serefina watched as he sat down as well, her muscles remaining ridged. But then he went and spewed out some nice words afterwards. A single brow rose in his direction, confusion swirling in her once angered features. That was... an interesting switch. Sere just looked at him for awhile, until she just snorted. He was an odd man, that was for sure. "I'm Serefina, by the way." She said softly, her attitude starting to melt away. It wasn't every day that she was impressed by another wolf. "SPEAK!"
