Well, day two of his search through the West had still left him empty handed. The surprise find of Surreal's pack had been enough of a pleasant surprise to make the journey out here worth it, but it still didn't help the sting of disappointment and the ever growing worry. He had spent most of the early morning and the middle of the day making a small loop near the coast and now he was making his way back up toward home. It had been quiet and uneventful trek with only his sore paws to take back with him. He realized as he was walking that he was growing close to Donostrea's lands and in a spur of the moment decision he turned his path a bit to head toward it. He hadn't spoken with Voltage or Glacier in quite a while. It never hurt to stop in and check on how his friends were doing. His search for Svetlana was quickly turning out to be a trip solely for building pack relations.

He slowed his steps as he came to the edge of the prairie, keeping a polite distance from the scent markers at its border. He slowly walked along the edge of the pack, peering out over the grasses for any sign of the members within. He didn't want to really disrupt Voltage or Glacier's day when he didn't really have much to talk about as far as their packs went, but if he happened to spot one of them while he was passing by he would be more than happy to speak with them. Who knew, maybe one of their other many siblings they had spoken of would notice him instead. He wouldn't turn down any company at this point. The day had been much too long and lonely with only his own depressing thoughts to keep him company.

Seraphiel

She had taken no more then two ill advised trips from her packs lands to explore the mystery of a world banned from her. Her curiosity was unsatable and she let herself stray to the borderlands more often then her father would like. She called it a coincidence, that her paws walked and she hadn't meant where they had taken her. There was no truth to that statement, she did nothing idly or absently.

The problem was, the world beyond Donostrea looked no different to that inside the border. There was no sudden change in the land, no obvious border other then the scent her father and uncle left behind. There wasn't a shift in the land, nature didn't care about the inconsequential wims of wolves. It made her want to travel further, to really get out into the world. She had heard their where mountains that made their cliffs look like an ants nest. That there was land coated in a fine mist of white that was cold to the touch. She could see none of it from here, and the ache to explore was not calmed by the similarities inside and outside the immediate area of the border.

Bored, and frustrated, she wouldn't immediately spot the form pacing along the borderline towards her. When she did, her eyes clicked upon him like there was nothing else in the world. Brilliant blue eyes brightened and widened and she slowly came off her hunches and onto all four paws. She stalked towards him, keeping to the underbrush. Would this stranger spot her? She dearly hoped not. A slow smile gave life to her lips, and the long stride of the stranger brought him closer to her faster then her shorter legs and slower pace could achieve. She waited, waited in the underbrush until he was almost upon her, each so close to the borderline there was little space between them. She waited a moment longer, and then she was gone.

Leaping from the bush, her back legs shoving her upwards in the hope to tackle the upper portion of his legs. “Raaar!” was her war-cry, but their was no danger in her eyes, only laughter.

The pack's lands that he looked out across seemed to be pretty quiet. It seemed like he might be out of luck this time. He could call for someone... Nah, he didn't have much of anything to discuss anyway. He was about to turn away to continue on toward home when out of no where he heard a "Raar!" come from the side of him, making him jump and the fur along his scruff to stand up from shock. His head turned just in time to see the gray and blue-marked pup flinging herself out of the bushes at him. She collided with his forelegs and made him yelp, mostly from surprise, and made him stumble to the side a couple of steps to catch himself.

He looked at the girl wide-eyed for a moment, blinking as a grin spread across his muzzle. Well, it wasn't exactly the company he had been expecting, but she certainly knew how to make an entrance. "I come in peace!" he exclaimed, sitting on his haunches and lifting his pale forepaw in a sign of surrender, still grinning at the silliness of it all. He loved pups in general anyway, but since getting his own children he came to realize that it was almost always easier to join in on their play than to try and address them like he might an adult. "You must be one of Donostrea's warriors! I'm glad to see they have such strong wolves guarding their borders!" He chuckled softly and asked, "What might your name be, Donostrea guardian?"

Tackling her prey was easier then she had imagined. Her stealth had been perfect! He had shown no indication he had noticed her presence and his reaction supported that claim. He staggered to the side, nearly knocking her off balance in the process. She had to let go of him or risk tumbling over as the side step of his larger paws left a gap between them bigger then her body. She fell back to all four paws on the grass and grinned up at the brute as he cried out his surrender. She was just about preening at this point. Her head held hight and her tail in the air, she was the vision of pride. She, Ray of Donostrea, had taken down this mighty stranger!

She couldn't stop her giggle as he waved a paw at her in defeat. Of course, it was unbefitting a warrior and she managed to work past it eventually and let her expression become something more serious. She nodded slowly at him, accepting the role of warrior he mistook her for. It was an honest mistake, she a ferocious creature not afraid to take down a stranger at the border. Certainly her stealth and skills added to the vision he had fallen to. "I'm Seraphiel Elementas. Daughter of Glacier and Anais... but you can call me Ray" she gave her full name and parents in the hope of amazing her new admirer. "At this point I'm suppose to ask you what your business is with Donostrea" she continued, certain that this stranger would not realize she had no such right to make that demand. Perhaps that was also why she didn't quite ask it as a question - that was she still retained some rights to claim innocence later. After all... this whole thing was just a misunderstanding on the strangers part, right?

Leo grinned a little as he watched her try to put on a serious expression as she addressed him. She certainly had a lot of personality in her. He could certainly appreciate that. He hoped she didn't make a habit of tackling wolves on the border though. Not all wolves that could be lurking on the edge of the territory were quite as nice and receptive of the sudden attack as he had been. His ears perked with a bit of surprise and interest when she introduced herself as well as listing her parent's name. "Well, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ray," he replied with a small bow of his head. "I'm Aaron Adravendi, but you can call me Leo." He enjoyed meeting someone else who went by a nickname like he did, even if that someone was a pup.

She mentioned asking what his business was with Donostrea, but he noticed that she never actually phrased it as a question. He smirked a little. She was a clever one. She couldn't technically get in trouble for doing things she wasn't supposed to do if she didn't actually do them. He didn't mind though. "Well, Miss Ray, I'm a friend of your father and your uncle Voltage and I was passing by on my way back to my pack and I thought I would see if they were around so I could say hello. I'm the alpha of a pack not far from here so I like to stop in and see how other packs are doing from time to time."
