Life had the best turn around she could think of and she was enjoying every minute of it. Despite the loss of her loving mother she had gained another to look up to. She was growing fast and would soon be turning a year old. She was long, lean, and leggy but the pretty young girl still retained her beautiful chocolate coat with light blue markings. Maximous had been her savior and had done a wonderful job raising her so far. They had done some traveling and were making their way back North. There had been talk of joining a pack and she assumed that soon they would need to. Their had been rumors of a sickness outbreak and with Winter around the corner they would need a pack to ensure their survival. Max had helped her draw back to her happy playful self and despite not meeting many others so far, she felt fairly outgoing. She was looking forward to finding a pack to accept them because she was ready to start a new chapter in her life.
Today the rain had held off, but the air still remained damp and the sky still cloudy. She missed the sunshine and it felt like forever since she felt it's warm rays. She contently walked along side her adoptive father as her curious eyes took in the surroundings around them. The sights and the smells were new and she was beginning to get antsy, she wanted to run all over the place and check everything out. Though she tried to contain herself she found it rather difficult. Bright green eyes looked over to seek his blue eyes a slight pleading look within them. She knew not to stray to far and in fact never liked to be to far from him, but she was so energetic that she almost had to. She buried her nose into the thickened fur of his neck before picking up her pace so she could be a bit ahead of him. Nose to the ground the young female took in the new scents, blind to the boarder marker of the pack territory. She smelled other wolves, fairly recent scents, but still didn't realize that this land was claimed. She allowing time for Maximous to catch up while she checked out a small frog hidden by a rock.

She had been patrolling the woods, trying to get her head around her secondary alpha position. What was she meant to do? Was there anything important she was meant to be doing right now? Patrolling the borders seemed important enough. Was she to just go with the flow and figure it out for herself? What about talking with her packmates and seeing how she could improve Myriad? Organising meetings? Trainings? Changing ranks? Argh. Perhaps she wasn't cut for being a leader after all.
As she padded through the trees, inhaling the cold autumn air, she uncovered the scent of a girl not too far away. Did this scent belong to one of Myriad's members or a rogue? Curious, she picked up her pace as she followed the scent, winding her way through the woods. Through the foliage she caught a glimpse of a dark-coated pup, sniffing around the border, and behind her, an older ebony man. Definitely not one of her packmates. Why were they here? Did they wish to join Myriad? Was she to just let them in? Oh Riv, if only you were here right now.
Stepping out from the trees, trying to remain calmly confident in her posture and gait, she halted by the border, looking the two strangers dead in the eye. "You are on Myriad's borders," she told them, her slightly shaky voice neither welcoming nor hostile. Cocking her head to the side, she inquired, "What is it that you seek?

Front end was on the ground while her rump wiggled in the air. Eyes were bright and wide as she watched the frog intensely interested in the creature. She hadn't even noticed the approach of the pack wolf. When the voice suddenly hit her ears she reacted in a surprised instinct of cowering. No it wasn't that the female had sounded mean it had just scared her how it came out of no where. Tail tucked and ears flattened she backed away the women asking what she was seeking. She shook slightly her head whipping around in search of Max, but to her surprise he was no where in sight. This made her more nervous and she backed up a few more steps. Bright green eyes searching for her dark pelt unsure of how to react to these female's words. She whined before laying herself on the ground looking to the black and green female.
"I..... I.... I'm Sorry," she stuttered through her words.
Now that she was on the ground the female could smell the scent of many other wolves. Was this the spot where a thing called a pack lived. Sticking her nose to the dirt she sniffed for quite a while. She seemed to calm a bit before she looked back to the female.
"We were traveling through, but it seems my Papa must have fallen behind," she stated her ears still flattened. "What is Myriad? and Borders?"
