He wasn't sure what to do. Raizen was still cautious about this new place, about the wolves lingering in the lands. What if one of them attacked him? What if he was killed? A soft whimper escaping him, he closed his red violet eyes. Catching sight of the buffalo in the distance, he stopped dead in his tracks. He didn't want them to come any closer, but was going back safe? He didn't want to do anything that would put him into immediate danger. Taking a small breath, he focused on one of the slopes. They were odd, but Raizen didn't see any sign of any living creature on them so far. His thin frame walking towards one at a slight speed, the small wolf relaxed slightly as he got closer. Not enough, though; his ears were still alert, and his gaze searched for any sign of movement. He supposed he'd just have to make sure he didn't offend anyone if they did approach.

Strolling through Imperium’s old lands was probably not Birna’s best idea. She needed to let go and move on already but everything had been so perfect, she had felt like she was finally on the right path only to have it all slip out from under her. Her nostrils flared as she picked up the scent of a herd of buffalo nearby. Her ears twitched but she knew better than to try and hunt any of them solo. She’d be killed for sure and there were no young calves to even attempt such a feet. She’d move past the herd, the shaggy animals glancing at her for a moment before returning to their meal. They knew a lone wolf, even one as large and fierce as her, was of little threat. As she continued on her way she caught sight of a small male and she paused, observing him. Imperium was gone now and while some of the wolves lingered there was no reason to defend a border that was no longer theirs. The man limped and appeared rather scrawny to her but not ill. One could never be to careful with a plague clinging to Boreas’ shores. Birna approached. “I would advise against trying to take one of those bison alone. You’ll be trampled into fertilizer.” "SPEAK"

His ears twitching, Raizen had failed to notice any signs of life, and as a result jumped as the other wolf approached. Turning towards the taller female, he hesitated before speaking. "I'm not going anywhere near them." A nervous chuckle escaped his jaws, partly from being around the female and partly from the bison. Either could kill him if they wanted, if they decided to, and the small wolf was worried that they were going to. Raizen wanted to say something else, to try and distract the female from whatever her intentions may have been, but words failed him. Instead, he stayed silent, waiting for her next words and hoping, praying, that he hadn't done anything to anger her. He surely would not survive if he had.

Birna smiled in bemusement as the man jumped at her words. She did move rather softly for her size. And goodness… wasn’t he a small one? She gazed at the tiny male that seemed to come up to her belly and not much higher. Seems like he was a bit worse for wear. The nervous giggle didn’t escape her and she wondered what was going on in his little thread. Did he perceive her as a threat? Well… he wasn’t wrong persay. Birna was a dangerous wolf but she wasn’t the least bit interested in battling this scrap of flesh if she didn’t have to. “You look like you’ve seen some trouble, are you alright?” "SPEAK"
