Finally!  She was tall!  Well… tall-er.  She was no where near as tall as Laufey but that was fine.  Taking a leap she jumped on the lower branches of a gnarly tree where she quickly maneuvered and picked her way higher up.  This was so cool!  “Naudir, dear be careful!”  Branwen fluttered down and landed on a branch near her.  She grinned.  “I am!”  Finally settling down she turned her gaze to the horizon where the sun was beginning to set.  The sky still held much of it’s blue but towards the horizon it was beginning to take on dune-colored hues.  Patches of dark blue clouds tipped with white hummed along the horizon.  It was beautiful out on this lovely spring evening.  The even she turned a year old!  Grinning she got to her feet, tail waving wildly for a second as she regained her balance.  Tipping her head to the sky she called for her siblings but then frowned.  "I wonder if they can hear me all the way out here." She shrugged and went on her merry way climbing farther up the twisting pines.

Arsenal wasn't the most agile, although part of him did want to cling to the branches of a tree. A lower one, anyways; he didn't want to risk falling and breaking his neck if he did decide to climb onto one of the branches. Besides, the gray hued wolf could see the sunset just fine from where he was, safe on the ground, with no risk of falling and getting hurt. Or, rather, not any that he knew of; he wasn't sure if there was anything here that could cause an injury, in the ground. Lowering his head, he continued on his way, until the sight of movement barely caught his mismatched gaze. Another wolf, climbing further up the tree, already past where he could talk to her without raising his voice. Which he wasn't sure if he wanted to, anyways; she'd probably fall on him or something, if he called out to the stranger now. Staring up at where she was, he stepped back some, enough to make sure she wouldn't fall on him if she did end up falling. He'd feel bad if the stranger got injured, but it was a strange thing to do, climbing the branches. Besides, he didn't want another wolf suddenly falling on him from such a height.

Naudir wondered if Yggdrasil twisted like these pines as they rose into the sky. Of course it was much, much, much bigger but even so she wondered how it's branches managed to hold so many worlds. A sharp caw caught her attention, drawing her eyes to the raven Balthazaar as he soared down to a lower branch to stare at a strange man who was climbing up the tree. Naudir felt her stomach tighten as she eyed the stranger. She was smaller and more agile but even so she was wary of him and had no way to determine his intentions. Choosing to stay stationary she sent out a cautious call. "Hello?"

At the other wolf's call, Arsenal's attention focused on them, the gray male squinting slightly to see her. She was no longer moving, but instead seemed to be staring back down at him. Cautious, maybe? Slowly, carefully, he shifted his weight slightly, raising his voice to send an answer towards the smaller female. "Aren't you afraid you'll fall from such a height?" No greeting left his jaws, but he stayed still, cautious about climbing any further up the tree. Not that he would, anyways; he wasn't sure if the female would take such a question as a threat or not. So, closer to the ground he stayed, waiting for her answer.

speech.

Naudir gazed quietly at him for a moment, marking is differently colored eyes. They reminded her of Hárekr and she half wondered if this strange man was some sort of relation though she rather doubted it. The girl wrinkled her brow as she pondered his question. She shrugged. "Not really. I like it up high. Um… what's your name?" She fidgeted a bit, uncertain how best to carry this conversation.

Balthazaar cocked his head as he gazed at the man. "Not a pack wolf that's for certain. What are you doing skulking around these parts, hm?"
