She had been meaning to see how Myriad's two newest recruits were settling in. It was her duty to welcome new members and ensure they found their field of craft as soon as possible. She had been over her head with responsibilities and festivities that seeing Myriad's youngest member, Delaney, had simply slipped her mind. The girl had been a pup when she first arrived by the pack's borders, and if the queen had counted the seasons correctly, she would be a yearling by now. Not calling for the girl earlier brought a pang of guilt to the queen as she found a small clearing in the willow forest. Pushing the thoughts aside, she tipped her head back and let out a short call for the younger female. |
