Let Us Begin
The pale man had waited until the meeting was over, and all was said and done, before he stalked away. He had given his nephew some time after the fact, just in case anyone had needed to speak with him before they left. But now the man was to call to his nephew himself. He breathed in, his gaze seeking the skies. Worry gnawed at his gut for Surreal... For his family. If they lost her it would weigh heavily on all of their shoulders. Though he had little doubt Kavdaya was doing all that she could in order to make sure Surreal survived this. He would not fault the healer if she was unable to help his sister pull through.
It was just... A scary thought. Castiel shook his head, lifting his head to the sky as he loosed a call for his nephew. Things needed to change. He sat, curling his tail around his body as he breathed out a small sigh. Another face he had not seen in some time was Kalliope... Was the woman doing okay? Castiel felt worry gnawing at him for her. He’d need to check on her, he decided. But first things first would be his duty to the pack... So much to think about... So little time when one really considered it. Everything seemed to be passing by him so fast... And the man wasn’t quite sure what to do about that anymore. "Speak" |

As he came away from the meeting, he had much to think on. Much to plan. A hunt, training for Rasiel. Test spars for those wishing to be Legionaries. And recruiting. Much recruiting. They needed hunters and fighters. And they needed Emissaries to join Baine, if she even resurfaced... But first, he would meet with his uncle.
And then, as if right on cue, his uncle’s call came for him. A brief grin crossed his features and he altered his path slightly to follow his uncle’s scent, pace rising slightly to a slow trot. As he uncle came into sight he slowed to a walk, smiling. “If you like, I’m happy to do our spar now. I’d like the practice.”

The older man waited until Regulus answered his call, gaze sweeping across his brightly colored nephew. The pale man dipped his head to the younger wolf, grinning widely. “You’ve read my mind, Regulus.” The older brute began to slip into the familiarity of his defenses, speaking as he did so. “Afterwords though I do want to speak to you about a couple things. But first things first.. I’ve put off this spar for too long!” He let out a soft chuckle.
The first thing Castiel checked was the defenses for his head -- pinned ears, narrowed eyes, head lowered to align with the spine, and chin tucked just enough to protect his throat a little more from bites. His shoulders were squared, stance widened as he prepared to face his nephew. Tail raised to align with his spine and give him a better sense of balance while Castiel bent his knees at the joints, spread his digits, and bit his claws into the soil.
“It’s been a while since I’ve done a regular spar, nephew. So forgive me if I start off a bit slow. I’d like you to take the first move, if you would.” Castiel called to his nephew across the distance.
Ooc:: Bri may set the distance between 6-10 feet and have the first move. I assume because this is a rank test spar there will be no defaults. Thanks!
