The pup stumbled forward, her little paws warming instantly as the autumn wind's nip was nullified by the steam of the pools around her. Caora had no idea what these... puddles were, or how they were so warm. She's been drawn to the sight of the mist and steam rising when she was wandering and had found herself surrounded by the barren and watery landscape before her now. Many pools were dotted around of varying sizes and Caora had siddled over to one carefully, yes, carefully, not nervously!
Caora's tail swished nervously behind her. She was unsure of whether to venture further, to dip a paw in or go for the plunge. Although she hated to admit it, she wasn't the strongest of swimmers and still small. It did not frighten her as such, just unnerved her. She might not have been so unsure, the pup told herself, if she could see the bottom. Yeah, if the water wasn't so cloudy she'd definitely have gone in! The monochrome girl wasn't quite ready to leave the warmth of the area just yet, and so she sat beside a steaming pool.

It'd been a while since she'd been near Fiori and she certainly couldn't remember coming this close. Old pack scents still littered the area and Faite now remembered the reason why she hadn't. This had used to have been one of their territories. It seemed like they had decided to switch. It felt a little strange to be in their old territory, but it was obvious the pack didn't convene here. That and Fiori were family of sorts so she didn't fear being near them. That was the great thing about having such a gigantic family. They seemed to be everywhere. The scent of a younger wolf lingered nearby. Faite was surprised by it - the wind had shifted and judging from the scent it was feminine. Curiosity tugged at her and she found herself trailing after the wolf. What greeted her was indeed a younger wolf, but much younger than she'd originally anticipated. The girl seemed to be barely half a year and the russet female glanced around curiously to see if she could locate the girls parents. She didn't smell of Fiori so she couldn't have been a child from there. Eventually she looked back to the young girl and frowned. As she drew near she noticed the spotted pup quite close to one of the pools that dotted the area. She looked around once more to see if a protective mother would be coming out of nowhere, and only looked back when she was confident none would come. Her demeanor changed the friendly smile and her tail waved softly behind there. "Enjoying yourself?" She asked amiably, coming to stop a few feet from her, still somewhat wary in case her parents did happen to show up. Walk, "Talk" Think |

Growing warmer by the second, Caora didn't want to leave the area. The days were getting colder and the pup knew that prey was getting scarcer. She didn't know much of the seasons, but from what she'd gleaned over her short life she knew that that the weather grew even chillier and that prey didn't begin getting more plentiful until Spring.
Caora didn't notice the female approaching until she heard the sound of her steps behind her. Surprise tinged with a fear made her turn quickly, just in time to see a female emerge from the steam. Her muscles tensed for an escape. Since being chased from her pack the girl hadn't met but a few other wolves and not all of those encounters were friendly. She was tall, much taller than Caora herself was, and her fur was a pretty mix of browns. What was really striking, however, was her different coloured eyes. Slack-jawed, Caora switched her gaze between the bright blue and gold. They were unlike anything she'd seen.
The female stopped a little bit away from Caora and spoke, her friendly voice like a song to Caora's lonely ears. "Enjoying yourself?"
The pup glanced to the pool quickly. She didn't want this stranger to know that she was afraid of a little water. Looking back up to the female, she gave a bright smile and nodded.
"Yes, thank you. Are you?" the pup said, her manners kicking in. Before she left her mother, she'd always insisted of using manners and being polite. Especially when being submissive and unnoticed was the best bet of survival as a late born pup in her pack. In that moment, however, the question was genuine.

It seemed as though she'd surprised the younger wolf. Faite's demeanor was calm and friendly, so she sincerely hoped she hadn't scared her. Judging by how the pup didn't run away, Faite felt pretty confident that she was doing a good job at appearing like a safe wolf to be around. Her tensions began to ease slightly. She was fairly certain the girl was alone, but it made her worry. Why would a kid be so alone way out here if she wasn't a part of Fiori? "Yes, thank you. Are you?" Faite was a little surprise by the manners the girl showed. She wasn't expecting some wild hooligan, but her expectations were slightly varied. Her siblings were a good example. Laisren was more boisterous energy than anything else, though he wasn't a bad child. She just wasn't so used to seeing direct manners. It was interesting. "I am actually." She smiled brightly. "I'm Faite. It's very nice to meet you." Walk, "Talk" Think |
