Chridhe had wandered what seemed like the whole of the northern continent looking for her relatives, though honestly she'd stayed mostly out of the northernmost reaches just because it seemed vanishingly unlikely that anyone would have gone that far. They just weren't anywhere to be found, and Chridhe was beginning to think that perhaps they had turned back in defeat after the storm instead of continuing on as she'd assumed.
Well, she had a purpose to her life, and that purpose wasn't to wander til her paws bled looking for someone who wasn't around. She'd put in a lot of time thinking and considering her options, and found herself circling right around back to the idea of joining a pack, expanding her knowledge of healing, and helping others.
And with that thought came the memory (the incredibly amusing memory) of the encounter she'd had at the first pack boundary she'd run up on in these lands, with the tall red creature named Regulus and his pack. Any pack whose alpha had the confidence in his pack and himself to escort a pair of loners across his lands had to be ok.
The tiny healer paused on the border of the pack again, tilted her head to the side consideringly. Well, the scent markers had changed, subtly but they'd changed. She'd not spent enough time around packs to know what that change meant, but she wasn't by nature a cautious wolf anyway and she'd already made her decision.
Tilting up her snub-nosed muzzle she let out a jaunty howl, calling for the alpha.

Faite was practically buzzing with excitement as she exited her den that morning. She'd only had a few more things to wrap up before she and Baine left on their trip to the north. She could only hope that it was exactly what her younger sister needed to help her out a bit; not to mention that it was the first time they'd actually get to spend some one on one time together since she'd been home. Regulus had typically been the only one she'd spent time with and she was eager to bond with her other siblings a bit. She was more than a little nervous about leaving the pack without an alpha around, but she had a small sliver of faith that things wouldn't blow up while she was gone. Things were normally quiet around home so that was some small comfort. It wasn't as though they were going to be gone forever anyways. Just long enough to get up to the north, meet the new pack's leader, and perhaps stop at a few places so Baine could explore a bit. She wanted to make it a learning experience and fun at the same time. She'd just started out on a patrol when a howl caught her attention. It wasn't a familiar one and an ear flicked backwards as she tried to figure out who it was. Was it another alpha that had come to scout around? Meeting Karabela had been interesting enough. Maybe the trade idea she'd brought along had spread to other packs and they wanted to do the same? Her pace quickened as her curiosity grew and she set off at a quick trot to meet the stranger. She arrived in what felt like no time at all and was surprised to see a pretty tiny woman there. It was always odd to see wolves smaller than herself. She knew she wasn't exactly the tiniest, but it was an oddity all the same. She was used to being around those that were taller, even if it wasn't by much. She smiled warmly at the other wolf and paused not too far away. "Greetings. What can I do for you?" Walk, "Talk" Think |

It didn't take long for her call to produce an answer, though it was not in fact the brightly colored male alpha of her last visit but rather a rather smaller and much more ordinary female. Chridhe chortled softly to herself, her muzzle cracking open in a grin. "I admit that I half expected the whole pack to be weirdly colored giants," she joked. "I'm relieved that you aren't. Where's Big Red?" she added curiously. It didn't seem likely that there had been a pack challenge. After all, word of that sort of gossip usually spread like wildfire. She gave a mental shrug and pushed on blithely. If the older female couldn't give her an answer as to whether or not she could be accepted into the pack, well she'd certainly know who could right? Chridhe beamed sunnily at Faite. "My name's Chridhe Airgid, and I'm here to join your pack."

"I admit that I half expected the whole pack to be weirdly colored giants," she joked. "I'm relieved that you aren't. Where's Big Red?" A grin broke out across her maw at the other's words. She chuckled softly and nodded. Regulus was definitely an interesting sight to run into and very hard to forget. "He's on a trip with my parents and one of our healers. I'm not sure when he'll be back." She was a bit disappointed to know that she'd been looking for her brother. She was beginning to wonder if she'd be able to help the woman at all, but the she introduced herself. Even more interesting was the fact that she was here to join. They hadn't had anyone join yet since Fortune. It wasn't often they had wolves appear at her borders so she couldn't help but be a little surprised. "Well it's nice to meet you Chridhe, I'm Faite. I've taken over as Archangel while Regulus is gone." Well, if she was here to join that meant she could help her out after all. "What would you be able to offer Celestial in terms of skill?"
