"Merciful mother of maggots!" Rœkia exclaimed as she stared at large collect of mushrooms she'd never seen before. Mushrooms that were glowing! The shimmered in cloaks of unnatural blue and violet hues and she found herself turning to stare at Wolf who had fluttered down off her shoulders to hop up next to one of the mushrooms. "They are beautiful Rœ, are they…. dangerous?" He glanced up at her and she would squint at the mushrooms before nodding sharply. "Almost certainly, nothing that grows with that bright a color is meant for consumption." At least… she was pretty sure. Animals, like frogs and certain insects tended to be absurdly colored as a warning to predators to leave them alone. She was getting the same vibe from these mushrooms. Shifting her knapsack she carefully leaned down to sniff at one. No scents of suspicious oils, were they safe to touch? She didn't want to take any chances until she'd found someone to experiment on. Pawing open a side pouch on her knapsack she turned to Wolf. "Gather a few with your talons and put them in here."

Trick!

Rœkia gets a trick!

A tricky little frog watches the wolf and magpie with interest, it's eyes going to the odd contraption on her back. When the wolf flipped open a pocket, the frog wanted to see what was inside. Hopping over to the spotted canine, it jumped right in the bag and ate up some of her herbs, letting out a croak before hopping away. This is a poison dart frog, its black and blue form nearly blending into the cavern as it makes its escape. Rœkia has lost 16 gems!

This place was wild. Everything was weird, the plants were all glowy and shit. The lavender damsel trod over them without much care, since there wasn't much a plant could do to her feet at this point. Voices were faintly audible somewhere ahead, and she was curious to see who the sources were. Water dripped from overhead and onto her head, sometimes landing in her ears. Nasty. It was probably filled with worm poop and diseases. Why was she down here again? Dying of some gross worm-poop-disease wasn't on her list of super cool things to do today.

A voice rang out once more, and she was reminded of her intentions. A colourful frog leaped past ehr feet, scaling the wall behind her and disappearing into the shadows. Stepping out into a cavernous room with marginally better lighting, she spotted a wolf and a bird. She had seen that little girl with the cat friend, so it was likely that these two were buddies as well, based on how they were interacting. The bird was collecting.. mushrooms? Weird glowy ones. The wolf had some kind of weird thing on their back. This was an odd bunch, she could tell that already. "If you're planning to eat those later, I'm gonna call that now as a bad idea." She announced casually, kicking one such fungus out of the way. She had met some wolves who ate mushrooms to get high, but she doubted that's what these ones would do.

As Rœkia busied herself about the mushrooms she failed to notice a bright blue and black frog hop into her bag but it did not escape Wolf's sharp eyes and he squawked and dove at the creature, talons flashing. "Wolf, what the HELL!" Rœkia yelled as her companion attacked her knapsack, finally driving out the poison dart frog. "It was eating your herbs!" Rœkia bristled with irritation. She'd worked hard for those! That was a bit odd though… she'd never heard of frogs eating herbs and her eyes narrowed as she wondered if it was some sort of spirit. She was not fond of having the herbs in her pack contaminated by the slippery creature. She gathered to obtain certain and very specific effects although… she couldn't say she was completely distraught. Poison from a poison dart frog was a very rare commodity and no doubt the mucus had made contact with several of herbs…. of course which ones was going to be a problem. She growled again. What a pain.

"Wolf… bring me that frog." The bird cocked his head at her. "Pierce it with your talons, it will pay for its boldness with its life." The bird took to they air but with the dark room and the glowing of the mushrooms that seemed to match the frogs skin he really doubted he was going to find it.

"If you're planning to eat those later, I'm gonna call that now as a bad idea."

Rœkia's tail flicked at the voice and a sigh escaped her lips. Great, now some cotton-headed skunk rat was going to tell her how to do her job. "I will have you know," she said, turning to face the stranger, "that I- what the hell is wrong with your fur!" She stared in shock at the bright purple creature before her then smirked. "My dear if anyone should avoid eating the mushrooms it's you! Why you've had so many of them you look like one yourself. All you need is a nice glow."
