Turn around every now and then
Charm however had her thoughts drawn back to WHY she needed a mentor. Her dad was gone, she had wanted to train under him but he had gotten sick and the most they ever did was herb hunt together and that was a few and far between. She would never see or hear from him again. Charm let a heavy sigh escape her lips, she had to be strong right, but then why did she feel this dart pit forming at her gullet. It felt as if she had eaten something very sour, an upset tummy that not even any herb could feel. That was probably why she desperately wanted to seek out the comfort of her mother. She held back tears and sat herself there, hoping her mother would come to the den tonight and not decide to go do something else.
Twilight was fast approaching, and she was tired. She and Tan had been out all day trying to track a small herd of caribou, but they ended up going too far to be able to make it into a pack hunt for dinner tonight. Oh well, maybe they would have better luck when they moved...as she began to think about that particular thought, she noticed Charm sitting outside of her den. She realized then, when did they get so big? One day they were all sleeping together in the den, and the next they were off sleeping in their own. Okami still slept with her, and she realized too that she was a lot bigger then all of them, and Charm was the smallest.
She approached her daughter, amber gaze soft as she walked up and licked her daughters head. "Charm, is there something troubling you?" She sat down and faced her, noticing that she appeared to be distressed. She knew that it was because of Vereux's passing, but maybe it had something to do with her too...she knew she wasn't spending as much time with them, especially since she had an entire pack to look after. So she hoped it would all change when Dragon took over.
All those emotions she bottled up just poured out. "I love you mom." Charm didn't understand why her dad had to go. What unseen force had to take him away from her. Her mom was still here though and she didn't want her to go away either. She would have to learn how to heal, she would make her mother live a long life as long as she could. Otherwise she didn't know what she would do.
