Things are warm here, warmer than they should be. He's only just returned from the wintry atmosphere of Boreas, taking the early summer breezes by storm as he wanders through the oaks. What a strange place this is. What a strange place it would be. Poser loves it. He loves this place, and that's why he calls it home. Head high, romping among the trees. His tail wags. Everything leaves him feeling bright.

Feeling. What a weird concept that was. He felt far more than he had in what felt like... well... it had to have been ages. Really, Poser had such a hard time coping lately. It was probably one of the hardest things he'd ever have to do-- keep living. Dying was easy, living was harder. Yet the shadow hadn't given up. A beacon of hope to his own damn self. That was the only way to do things like this. Pull your shit together, cowboy up, and move on. Right? Supposedly.

Moving through the ancient oaks, he's exploring. There's something about the afternoon sunlight scattering the dusk, something beautiful. Poser is never not beautiful, and golden hour sits around his shoulders like a warm coat. What a lovely existence today was.

He had come to like the southern continent, preferring it to the far-busier northern one even when the summer heat became stifling. It was safer here where you could lose yourself for weeks or even months without seeing another wolf. There were various tribes of wolves scattered loosely over the continent, he knew, but they tended to be primitive and shy compared to the demanding gregariousness of northern wolves. They were easy enough to miss seeing even if you were looking for them.

Drowsing within the shadowed confines of his temporary tree-den as he waited for night to fall, Enrico came suddenly awake at the crunch of last year's leaf-litter beneath paws. Warily, he watched as a dog crossed through the golden beam of afternoon sun outside his den. He had made no real effort to hide himself, trusting in the shadows in the hollowed tree to allow his gray coloring to camouflage him. This wasn't his usual den, simply one of many hollowed trees he'd made note of near his various preferred hunting grounds to rest in so it wasn't as important to keep his presence completely unknown, but it would be a pity to have to sacrifice one of his safe-houses if the dog happened to stumble upon him here.

Poser shines. Shimmers in the light. He's suspended animation, all things gorgeous and glimmering. Sun catches in his coat, tangles with the blackness, and comes out like a knight in obsidian armor. Not that he would ever need any more armor than his speed. Not that he needs anything other than the fact he's all gallant and gorgeous. Everything is fantastic, and he is at the top of the list. Never anything else. Never needed to be anything else. He's alert, he's alive. How grand it is to be alive. A force of nature, and a force of godliness, all in one. A young god in the sun.

So there is a stranger here, the wind carrying his scent forth. "I don't need to see you to know you're there." Poser is a ways away, not bothering to look with his eyes. Not really caring enough to find the creature. He was out and he had been here first... why should he care? Unless the creature would be recruited, there's nothing that matters. Honestly? Poser doesn't have it in himself to give a single fuck today. That was the way he lived his life, after all.
