She had done a lot of thinking, probably more thinking than working. She knew she was supposed to be training but now that the small girl was a year old she had a lot of things going through her head. Yes she greatly appreciated her family - well some of them. Charm knew by now a few of them weren't so happy to have her around. Sure she was supposed to deal with that but it wasn't a decision she thought about lightly. She knew she'd be fine on her own, at first the thought had been scary but now not so much. She could take care of herself and this... to her, was not home. For as much as she had tried to make it. With how she loved her sister, for how she appreciate her brother for giving them all a home when their mother stepped down. Now was the time for her to depart though. Even if in the end everyone hated her.

Standing firm the little girl raised her head in a howl for her alpha. No doubt he probably wouldn't be happy with what she decided. However it wasn't something that came up overnight. She had spent the entire time ever since they got here trying and again thinking about where she wanted to take a path in her life. Giving off a soft sigh she confidently looked forward an waited for his face to appear. Knowing she would have to give a good explanation for her leave if any.

The male had been doing alot of thinking for a while. There was no denying the fact that his family was slowly falling apart. They were distant from each other, when before they were pretty close. Was this normal? Or was it somehow his fault? things didn't seem to be going too well since he had taken over, the pack seemed to thrive at first when his mother was in charge...but when he took it over? Nobody seemed to really respect him, let alone acknowledge him as an alpha. It was frustrating, and it made him feel...inadequate. A few times he considered handing the pack back to his mother, but each time he went to seek her out to tell her, something in the back of his mind would stop him. This time, however, something else would. Ears flicked when he heard his younger sisters howl, and he sighed when he heard the note in her voice. He knew his younger siblings had it rough. They were practically shunned by their brothers, and it didn't make it any easier when their father died. While he didn't bear any hatred or ill-will towards Vereux, he knew the others had never approved. Even so, that wasn't the kids' fault.

With Kimahri trotting along beside him, the pair made their way towards Charm. It didn't take long for him to get to her, his pace slowing as he approached. He slowly wagged his tail when he saw her, a half smile drawing up his lips as he tried to look cheerful. "Hey Charm, is...everything okay?" Who was he kidding? He highly doubted it...he knew she was depressed after her dad died, and he had neglected to try and console them. He felt like the worst big brother ever, and that thought ate away at him.

Charm was most definitely glad that Dragon was the one to take Talis. Heavens could only imagine if his bother Lykos had taken it or someone else. Obviously Gryphon wasn't entirely en-tuned to the young one. She wasn't stupid enough to not understand when she wasn't welcome. What she didn't understand was why? The girl understood that not many wolves had been a fan of her father, but at the time he had been the most important wolf to her. He was kind and did nothing but try and teach her and worry over her mother. Regardless of what was happening too, she was neither her mother nor her father. She was Charm - so how could one hate so much when they hadn't even given her a chance.

She tried to let the thought pass when Dragon arrived. She couldn't help but to smile towards him, he was all warm and fuzzy that was sure. It was slightly contagious as she let her tail wag behind her watching her big brother. On the inside she felt her heart breaking a little. The back of her head telling her, how can you do this to him? Dragon must be feeling some sort of pressure, she would only be adding onto that. Charm certainly hoped that she would be able to convey that it was not HIM that was the reason she was leaving.

"Dragon." she shuddered, holding back her own tears she'd try to bite on her own tongue figuratively speaking. She couldn't show any sign of weakness - knowing that would just say she wouldn't be able to live on her own. Charm took a moment to collect herself sucking in a deep breath and letting it out. "Everything's... okay? In a sense, I'm sorry that I have to say bad news for you though. I... I'd like to leave Talis." she let it sink in for a moment. "I know I haven't exactly been active in Talis and it's also because I've been doing a lot of thinking." Charm let her green eyes never leave Dragon. Showing him the kind of respect he deserved. "I know I just don't fit in here. Maybe I should have tried harder but my body just feels like I belong elsewhere. I do really want to go back to the north, I don't know what I'll do from there but I'll figure something out. I just know for a fact that my place isn't here." Charm let her ears flick forwards. Furrowing her brows forward.

"But while I'm gone I'd be trusting you to protect Okami you know. The rest of my siblings too. Take care of mom and all of them. I... certainly hope that they'd miss me because I know I'd miss all of you, I can come visit if you'd allow it." She smiled towards Dragon. Hoping that her words formed her thoughts, it could make no sense at all really but she was trying. She let the end of her tail twitch. "You're the greatest brother I could ask for really. I just know my destiny lies elsewhere." the little lady then dipped her head. Awaiting his own judgement, because at the end of the day he could keep her here even if she didn't like it. Charm knew how lucky she was really to be at his mercy entirely.

"Dragon..." Oh boy...already he could tell it wasn't any good news. Could he blame her though? There wasn't any good news going around for a while. He sat down as he flicked his ears, green gaze steady as he looked at her. Green eyes met green eyes, hers a little lighter than his own. It didn't matter to him that she had a different dad, it never did matter to him. She was his sister, and her resemblance to their mother made him a little...jealous. He had taken more after a father he'd never met, but at least Charm had known both her parents unlike him. He listened quietly as she began to speak. Telling him that things were alright in a sense, until she apologized for the coming of bad news. He bit back a sigh as he said nothing, instead he would let her continue what she had to say. He did appear crestfallen, however, when she said she wanted to leave. She said she felt like she didn't fit in, and in a sense he felt like that too was his fault. He wasn't spending enough time with them as a brother to try and get them to feel like they belonged here as much as anyone else, and that they were valuable too. He felt like a failure in a way, not only as an alpha, but as a brother. He had let his role as alpha neglect his role as a brother. Was he even really fit to lead? He hadn't done much to establish himself as an alpha except...move them to a new home. Those thoughts aside, he focused on the rest of what she had to say.

No doubt their mother would feel sad about it too...when she finished he was quiet for a long moment. He wasn't angry with her, just...sad. He wished he had gotten the chance to spend more time with her. "Charm...I'm sorry I haven't spent a lot of time with you...really, I should have been around more." Sighing, he moved closer to her and leaned down to lick the top of her head. "I'll protect our siblings, okay? Mom too. I'm not going to make you stay if you truly feel like you're heart isn't here. If you want to go back North, then go for it. I support whatever you want to do. I'm your big brother after all, and no matter what I'm always going to love you." He smiled as he peeked at her, one large paw gently draping over her shoulders as he pulled her in for a hug. He didn't realize how much more smaller she was compared to him! It was kinda funny when he thought about it. "You're always welcome to come and visit, you don't even gotta stop at the borders okay? You're welcome anytime. Just...do me a favor, come by and let me know how you're doing? And if anyone hurts you out there, I want to know! I know I can't protect you while you're away...but I can try if you'll let me."

Perhaps it never occurred to her that this was a best case scenario. Dragon could have done worse things to her. Now she only realized the weight of what would have happened if Lykos would have become alpha. Herself, probably cast out forcefully, perhaps even harmed. Dragon had held onto the position because mother say the kindness in him. Charm's green eye glinted - she could see that much into him. Maybe he didn't look like mother - but he was the one who got the most of her compassion. Her love for her family and friends. Charm smiled widely, probably more wider than she had in months and seasons. As she felt herself begin to cry she didn't try to stop it. It was unhealthy and she knew she didn't want to hide that much in front of her brother.

His gestures didn't go unnoticed, as she closed her eyes crying and listening to the words he spoke. No one of this was his fault. Even if he did feel responsible Charm knew that he was busy with his own life and maybe Charm had always been sort of a black sheep among the black sheep of her family. She knew one thing, she was an Ancora through her blood and through her spirit. She wouldn't forget that and she certainly hoped she could return to her mother with a fire that she had seemed to lost when her father had died. "It's not your fault Dragon. You've DONE everything you could. And I love you for that. You're sweet and kind like mother but with the Ancora fire that protects them from harm. I never thought of you as less of a brother in any instances." she cried as she pressed her head to his chest as he pulled her in for a hug.

"I'm going to become someone everyone can be proud of. Maybe one day I'll even make Gyphon acknowledge me." she laughed a bit. Trying to calm down as she took in a deep breath and sniffled. Wiping away tears with her paws as she smiled at Dragon. She knew she was leaving the only pack she'd ever known. All of her memories were here, but they were also towards the north. She backed away from dragon a bit flicking the tip of her tail. "I'll be seeing you okay? Dragon Ancora, best brother anyone could ask for." she said as for a moment she lingered, before turning away and heading towards the land bridge. Her journey was just beginning.

In all honesty, he wasn't surprised when she started to cry. Charm was an emotional creature (weren't all girls?), so he didn't blame her when the waterworks started. "Aw Charm, you're gonna make me cry, and I'm too pretty to cry!" He joked lightheartedly, "But so are you." He licked the top of her head just before she started to back away. He listened to her words in silence, his chest swelling with emotion. He always hated goodbyes, not that he had too many of them, but if this is what they were like everytime then yeah...he definitely hated them. "Don't worry about Gryph. His head is harder than a coconut. Maybe one day we can test that theory," He laughed at the thought.

He remained sitting where he was, green eyes watching his little sister as she slowly started to back away. He couldn't believe that his little sister was leaving. She would be on her own once she passed the borders...and it didn't sit quite well with him. She was so small! What if something happened to her? He hoped she would come back and let him know how she was doing...and if he had to go and tear into someone's ass for hurting her, then he would. "Stay safe out there, little sis. And...don't forget to see mom before you go, alright? I'll miss you!" He watched her turn and leave then. The cinnamon male watched in silence as she got further away. He hoped she would be safe out there...
