Arsenal traipses on. There's something unparalleled about his apathy. It's almost charming. It really could be charming. If it wasn't genuine. No. Seriously, it's genuine, grade a, can't be touched apathy. He almost wished that he could feel something about anything, but it's too much. Seriously. Spring had melted away all the winter ice other than what ha crusted over in his.. er... consciousness. But that was fine. He moves easily. Though there's a sort of shamble to his gait, a wander, he's confident. The forest was filled with new growth, with nests of chicks. With things that weren't worth hunting or eating. Cold on the inside, cold on the outside, with a certain sort of... well. He's scowling. It's really become a part of Arsenal's face at this rate. He supposed that he should maybe look into finding his siblings, but even then, that sounds like work. Mortar was always around, Ricochet was a little harder. If they needed him, they'd know where to find him. It's a hot mid day sun that brings him to a shady spot under a copse of young trees. He'd lay down, alert, but relaxed. Fairly typical. Fucking normal. fall in love or in lust, either one |

A soft sigh leaves the young male as he traipses back south. The north didn't seem like the most hospitable place to live and Mortar couldn't bring himself to head back to the southern regions either. His only goal was to get as far away from Ray as he could get, but even then would it be enough? What if she came back to him with pleading eyes and apologies. He'd never been able to refuse her and he was too weak to deny her. It was so much easier to just make sure that they never saw each other again. She'd abandoned him twice now and he couldn't take the heartache a third time. It was bad enough that not even Ricochet wanted anything to do with him. They'd ran into each other twice now and both times she'd left him despite the fact he'd wanted her to stay. What would happen if he ran into Caliber or Arsenal? Would they want him around. He hadn't seen them on the continent yet, but he imagined that they were here. Ricky had said they both were. Caliber had been kicked out of their old home and the other two had left to follow him. It was strange to think that their line no longer existed in their pack - their family had been the last of the Armistice line to live there since their aunts and uncles scattered. Their father had been the only one to stay and even he was dead. It was hard not to relive all the past horrors in his life. It was easy enough to realize how much his life sucked too. No pack, no family, no friends, really things couldn't get much worse, so they had to be better at some point, right? He was doing his best to hold on to that small glimmer of hope as he traveled through the young Redbud trees. The flowers had lost most of their spring beauty, but a few vibrant ones still remained while the last fell due to the onset of summer. It was a place Ray would have liked. Walk, "Talk" Think |

It's funny, their gaits are the same. They saunter. They traipse. It's like the weight of existing, the weight of actually being a soul tied to a body, a beating heart in a chest, flesh and bone... it's a lot. It's heavy the way they carry themselves. It's heavy in that they exist. Large creatures, hulking creatures, they move as if they are such. Heavy on their feet. There is no grace, at least from Arsenal. He doesn't care enough. He doesn't need to care. It doesn't matter. There's a jack rabbit thumping through the brush, and he moves... he moves as quickly as he can be assed toward it. It's way faster than he is, but the hulking creature takes up a low run in the same direction. He was running, like thunder rolling hard across the ground. Paws hammering hard across the ground, head high, eyes bright. It's short, because something else catches his eyes. Someone else was out here. "Did you see that fucker? Absolutely massive." There's a low pant to his voice, as he's been quicker than usual. Moving across the ground, closing the gap, peering at the... stranger? Was that a stranger? Arsenal is too far away to truly get a good look, but he's edging closer anyway. fall in love or in lust, either one |

Mortar was so preoccupied with his own thoughts that he didn't hear the thundering of paws nor notice the rabbit until it bounded past him in a blur. The young male came to a halt and eyes widened as he watched the creature disappear into the brush. He stared at the spot that it had disappeared for a moment. if he'd been hungry he would have contemplated tracking it down, but that would have required him to chase it and from the looks of it it would be faster than him. It would already be on the look out too so it was a pointless thought. It he hunted it would be something somewhere else. "Did you see that fucker? Absolutely massive." He jumped in the air in a surprised kind of jolt at the crude and unexpected voice. His head snapped towards the dark figure and an ear flicked back as he tried to place where he'd seen this male before. He definitely recognized him from somewhere, but he couldn't quite place it. He shrugged the feeling away and looked back to where the rabbit had gone. Had this male been chasing it? It made since considering the way it'd bounded right past him like a bat out of hell. "I didn't really get a good look at it." He replied, looking back towards the other male. "Was it supposed to be lunch?" Walk, "Talk" Think |
