ARSENAL

Everything is bright and colorful, spring ganging high in the air. Oh how gorgeous it is, shining down around him. It's giving Arsenal a damned headache. Love was in the air, and it was giving him indigestion. No seriously. He'd puked up the rabbit he'd tried to eat earlier, Tried being the operative word.

No matter, of course. Arsenal sauntered through the Gully with the the trademark glare pointed on his face, grumbling inwardly as he moved. Not that it mattered too terribly much. No one was here to look at him. That was best. It was almost like exploring, almost like magic. Whatever it was, he wasn't sold on it. Typical Arsenal. Typical as ever for the apathetic creature. He'll embrace it.

At least the sun was warm on his back, basking in motion.

I just wanna be by your side
Ah, the Fern Gulley. This place was high up on her list of favorite places to visit, especially when the weather got warm. It was like a garden of paradise, with flora springing up wildly in every size, shape, and color. It really was paradise for healers like Solveiga. She may have made it a goal to change herself and toughen herself emotionally, but that didn't mean she had lost her compassion or her love for healing. She was still very interested in becoming the best healer she could be. She wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps, especially now that she had passed away.

The woman strode through the greenery and the blossoms, sniffing here and there. She was hoping to find some boneset and lavender, and maybe even a little marshmallow, if she was lucky. But in the middle of her search, she caught the scent of something else. Definitely not a plant. There was another wolf here. She looked up, her blue eyes narrowing a bit as she looked around and tried to see who else was here with her. He was hard to miss. Walking through the colorful flora was a black male, much taller than Solveiga. Not that being taller than Solveiga was necessarily difficult.

She watched the man for a moment with curious blue eyes, and then she barked softly at him in greeting. "Enjoying the weather?" she asked. Sure, it was a lame thing to say. But Solveiga was certainly enjoying the weather, why not ask if this stranger was too?

ARSENAL

Arsenal is hulking by the waifish stranger, and it's actually rather comical. Much larger, much brawnier. A brawler beside a dancer. She is pale, he is dark, and they... are bizarrely met. Arsenal's gaze hardly flickers at first, continuing on his path through the gully with his usual shambling march. A storm cloud seems to hang around his shoulders, but the grey day sort. The storm on the horizon, not actively striking. Not yet.

The creature looks to his stranger, head quirking softly to the side. There's a tuft of queen anne's lace in the way, but he bats it away with his nose. It's a soft sneeze, shaking his head as he does. "If it wasn't, we'd still be stuck with it." Arsenal snarks softly, looking to the stranger and then back to his path. "You?" Right. Be polite. The apathy is palpable. You can taste it.

Such is Arsenal.

I just wanna be by your side
It seemed she had stumbled across one of the grumpy ones again. It took a bit of effort for Solveiga to bite back a laugh, as laughing would not be a wise choice in this situation. She just found wolves like this to be amusing, with the way they condemned themselves to such a bitter and gloomy state. But she understood that for some, it wasn't a choice. So she composed herself and gave the male a polite smile. His reasons for sulking were his own, and it wasn't her place to judge or to pry.

He pushed aside some flowers as if they were a nuisance and turned his glower on Solveiga. His words were amusing, and this time she couldn't help letting a chuckle slip. "Fair enough," she replied. "I am enjoying the weather, thank you. Sunshine is much better than snow and bitter cold winds, in my opinion."

After this, she lowered her eyes to the plants around her again. Perhaps the man wanted to continue on his way, and she certainly wouldn't stop him. Solveiga knew grumpy types like him. She knew that most of them preferred to be alone. So she padded through the greenery once more, tail wagging to celebrate her success as she found a small patch of lavender, with their purple blooms fluttering in the warm breeze.

ARSENAL

He is cranky, grumbling to himself. There' something about Arsenal that airs on the side of... maybe it's salt. It's an apathetic sort of saltiness. Sulking was what he did on the easiest level. The basest level. He doesn't really mind, he doesn't really have it in him to care so much. Caring is frustrating. Caring is... unpleasant. Caring makes his head hurt. All he wants is some god be damned peace and quiet.

Maybe that's why the pale creature isn't so bad. Never awful, sure. You'd have to give a reasonable fuck to care all that much. "I'm Arsenal." Right. He was going to introduce himself, he was going to... put himself out there. That was all he could do. "Summer is... coming." Right. A tail wag, half hearted as it was. Super half hearted. He's trying, honestly.

Gently he raises his face to the wind, watching the pale stranger as she romps in her patch of lavender. "That smells terrific." Right. He would be polite, he would make the offhand comment. Arsenal was trying. He was trying to try.

I just wanna be by your side
Solveiga had made the decision to mind her own business and let the grouchy man have his space. But it seemed that he was putting forth an effort to be polite, and to care a little about what she was doing. First he introduced himself, to which she simply responded, "Nice to meet you. I'm Solveiga." But then she looked up at him and laughed a bit when he commented on the smell of the lavender.

"Yes, it does," she said. "Lavender has a lovely smell. Relaxing." She leaned down to take another whiff, letting it soothe her senses and bring another smile to her face.

"You can come closer, if you want," she said, "See for yourself. Or, smell for yourself, I guess." With a good natured shrug, Solveiga set to work cutting a few samples. Lavender smelled lovely and was soothing, but it could be used for much more than that. Solveiga had recently learned that the pretty flowers could be consumed to help with depression, as well as anxiety and insomnia. It had been good to know, back when she was losing sleep over the loss of her mother. Solveiga herself had used lavender during some of the worst nights.

Was this stranger interested? Or would insinuating that he needed lavender only tick him off more? Solveiga couldn't help pondering it. Maybe she could figure out a subtle way to offer it to him. But here, take a bite of this flower seemed suspicious enough, not to mention coming from a stranger. He might think she was trying to poison him or something.
