The beginning of a journey

The west was a lot hotter than Auster that was for sure. Summer was in full swing and she was happy that she was so small - it made it easier to become cool. This strip was just something she had to pass in her way to the north. Her soft little paws pressed into the sand as she tried to ignore the sun beating down on her back. She would not spend much time here, she would have to press on. She remembered going through this place on the trip to Auster to begin with and knew she couldn't stay long. Otherwise the wind would bury her in a tomb of sand.
Charm would stop for a moment though - giving herself a time to rest. She sat down on that hill and rolled to her stomach. The cool surface of the sand felt nice as her green eyes looked over the land. Since she was small she had to be more wary of danger. That meant wolves and predators alike. She would have to use her wits and her speed to protect herself in those kind of situations. After all she was no where near a fighter. |
