Tyranis

With Summer slowly turning to Autumn and the weather cooling a much more developed and considerably larger Tyranis began to wander more and more away from the den. For now the changes between seasons are minimal, leaves began to fall although the humidity meant that they were always damp and smelling of old water, making them quite unpleasant to touch. He wobbled through the trees, mindful to keep to the semi-dry grass, and avoid roots. Somewhere in the distance, a twig snaps and his eyes widen as they fall on its source; a stag. He settles down low, watching the graceful creature, studying it. For now there isn’t much he can do other than observe it, he is far too small and his teeth, although needle sharp, are too frail to be anything other than a nuisance. He wagged his small spike of a tail as the alien creature grazed watching as it lifted its head and turned its curiously large ears to listen, maybe it even knew he was there and simply saw no need to chase him off.

She hated the changing of the seasons. The cool breeze that nipped at her black fur and stole the day away. She much preferred dancing under the sun; jumping through the fields until the sun began to fade, the air hardly cooler at night. But now it was evident that things were changing. She hated change. It was hard enough with all the new things to explore, but now she was discouraged from exploring them, due to the piercing cold that she disliked so much. Her lip curled and she bounded outside again; determined to show this weather right where to go.

She, too, heard the fateful snap of a twig. And she darted right towards the stag that made it; her large, wolfish paws kicking up dirt in her wake. "Hey!" she yelled at the creature, stepping right in its path, her innocent chestnut eyes staring up at it. A playful snarl left her maw and she attempted to nip at it, but before she could the stag moved and her ears folded. She was crushed. "Come back!" she yelled. "I want to play!" A definite pout formed upon her maw and she sulked, her shoulders hunched, not seeing her brother who was also interested in the stag. The toy she took from him.

OOC: Assume the stag runs but I did not state it so if you want to play the stag coming back or attacking you can (: I didn't want to pp the stag too much so you can say he isn't gone if you want or describe what he does more (: Feel free to pp the stag and Aella as well.

Tyranis

The deer fled immediately, rearing back in shock before bounding away in swift, fluid motions. “HEY!” Tyranis barked, rising from his hiding place his coarse hackles rising in anger. “You scared it stupid!” He yelled in his still- high pitched voice as he bumbled toward her, uncaring if he stepped in the wet leaves or not. He hated his sisters, they were always making their mother work harder than she should have and always getting in his way. “You always ruin everything Aella!” He growled, his thin ears pinned back against his skull as he towered over her. Tyranis was already much bigger than her and his other siblings, a fact that he abused whenever he saw fit to push them around and bully them, at fact that he intended to abuse at this very moment. He rose back, intending to bring his large paws down on her side and push her into the ground, to hurt her enough to chase her off and if she went back to their mother her would simply deny it.

She watched the creature's graceful exit, anger and tears welling up inside her. Why would it run from her? She had done nothing wrong! The large pup's heart deflated and her fur lay flat on her back. Her chestnut eyes were sad and she attempted to follow it with clumsy steps; but to no avail. The deer had left her. It was hard to explain the sharp feeling in her chest; a new emotion bubbling within her. An acute sense of loneliness as the deer had exited her life as simply as that. Was that all it took? Was she truly so awful that no one wanted to be near her? Her ears flattened to her skull and her shoulders slumped. She was alone. Unwanted.

A sharp bark interrupted the silence and she turned to see her brother whirling towards her. She was large but he larger; and he towered over her, yelling in a high voice. The unshed tears in her eyes began to form and now they dropped like waterfalls. He had pinned her to the ground and she felt the weight of his claws buried in her skin. Unloved. Even her brother did not love her. She found herself sobbing loudly under him, unable even to voice what she was feeling. She didn't push him back but rather melted there, having her first breakdown. Then she was howling. Howling. She was so, so sad.

OOC: D'aww, it seems abrupt but it felt like the right time. xP Feel free to invite Storm if you want some mama drama!

Storm was laying in the shade keeping herself cooled off from the summer's sun. Her pups were off playing and she was okay with that, she did her best to keep track of them and they all should be in earshot if they needed her. She was enjoying some peace and quiet, glad that she just had some time to herself. She would need to start teaching the pups what she could, but this summer was so hot and with her and her pups darker markings it would be hard to teach them.

She was lightly snoozing in the shade unaware of all the drama going on between two of her children. It wasn't until the howling from her daughter Aella that she was on her feet in an instant, heart beating against her chest with worry. It was a pained howl and the healer automatically thought of all the worst things that could of happened. She ran her ears fallowing the howl as quick as she could.

She approached, no smell of blood which settled her fears somewhat. Running to her side and nosing around she quickly noticed that Ty was on top of his sister, but she was too focused on making sure her daughter was okay. She nudged Ty off of her and curled her body around Aella, lowering her head to her gently caressing her daughter with her nose.

"Shh my darling tell mommy where it hurts," her voice was vary soft trying to settle her daughter.

She curled herself around Aella providing protection and as much comfort as she could.

Tyranis

Tyranis changed his demeanor immediately, realizing he had been caught in a condemnable position by his mother. She nudged him aside to comfort Aella while the gears in his head started to turn. “There was a deer and I told her not to go near it! It was gonna hurt her!” He rambled. “I scared it off but I think it hit her.” He mumbled being one to ever miss an opportunity to paint himself in a better light, his tone hinted with fear and concern as he spoke. If Aella said anything about what had transpired, he would tell their mother she was lying. Although they were all far too young to know it, his father’s madness had infected nearly all of them and the possibility that they might lie at such a young age was very real. “I tried mommy I tried to warn her!” He whimpered, his ears pinned back to the point that the ends curled around his skull, and tail tucked up against his belly, although his mother couldn’t tell. It was difficult to say where Tyranis had learned the art of lying or how he had become so good at it, perhaps it came naturally or perhaps he had observed it somewhere in his pursuit of higher knowledge.

She was lost in her own world; howling to the sky. Letting the sadness sink deeper and deeper into her soul. She didn't see Tyranis anymore; even though he was right there. She didn't see the deer. But when her mother entered the scene Aella perked up immediately. The warm scent of her mother's love and embrace wrapping herself around Aella. It was like the eye of a storm, calm winds suddenly protecting her from the chaos outside. She didn't even notice that her brother had been nudged aside so she could be tended to. Watery chestnut eyes blinked up at Storm with confusion. "Shh my darling, tell mommy where it hurts." Her sobs had stifled almost instinctively but her mother's words had barely registered within her brain. A post-cry headache had begun to throb in her temple. "I-i-i don't know," she stammered, actually turning around to check her tail out. She was fine - on the outside. "M-my h-head," she continued, a whine escaping. Why did her head hurt so much? Tyranis muttered a litany of excuses and she flashed a glare at him; but did nothing to argue his point. He betrayed her. It was a blade twisting in her heart and her eyes darkened, her heart sank and she was about to cry all over again. But she didn't. Her lip trembled and she stared up at her mother; not really understanding that Storm couldn't see. "Inside, mommy... It hurts inside."

Storm didn't ignore Tyranis, instead she split her attention between the two children, one ear pointed forward and the other pointed to Aella. She didn't know what happened and she knew from experience that her childhood was filled with telling fibs to her parents and family. So without evidence there was no way she could accuse Ty of doing anything wrong even when he was standing on top of his sister. She also liked to think that all of her children got along beautifully, that their father's unstable mind hadn't effected them but she knew there was a chance it could. They were still young and may not show it at this age.

She lightly nodded to Ty's words taking them into consideration as to what happened, truly would she ever know what really happened. Then Aella spoke of her head hurting and she gently rubbed her daughter's temple with her nose and licked her ears as she tried to comfort her. Head throbbing she could treat, but when her daughter explained it hurt inside she wondered what she had meant. Was she emotionally crushed from the incident? Did she had internal damage from the incident? All she could do was treat what she thought was going on. Boneset would be able to help with any muscle pain she was having, but she would only be able to give her daughter a small amount. White willow bark may be safer for her to use on Aella it would have less negative effects.

"It's Okay Ty, would you mind doing momma a favor. Could you run to the herb den and grab a small mouthful of Bark? It would be a big help to me." She asked hoping he wouldn't mind getting it.

It was the only bark she had in that den and each of the pups had been there before so he shouldn't have any issues. She then gently rubbed Aella's ribs and abdomen in an attempt to sooth and also to find where it was tender to the touch.

"Shhh sweetie momma will make it all better," she whispered softly.

Tyranis

He couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy, watching his mother soothe his loathsome sister. The thought of leaving his sister alone with their mother frightened him because there was a very real chance that she would tattle on him while he was gone, but on the other paw if he didn’t help his mother he would let her down. “Okay!” He said with an admittedly worried breath and then turned and dashed clumsily back to the herb den.

Lying to his mother had made him feel…weird. It made his stomach twist painfully and to some extent he felt as though she didn’t believe him. That hurt to think of but what it ultimately meant was that lying to his mother was pointless.

He reached the herb den and after a few minutes of searching, found the bark. He had no interest in herbs or in healing but there was only one kind of bark in the den and even though he had rolled his eyes and allowed his mind to wander as Storm attempted to teach them the basics of healing he knew it had to be the herb she needed and turned to run back, hoping Aella had kept her big mouth shut.
