Lightning Crashes
With Summer slowly turning to Autumn and the weather cooling a much more developed and considerably larger Tyranis began to wander more and more away from the den. For now the changes between seasons are minimal, leaves began to fall although the humidity meant that they were always damp and smelling of old water, making them quite unpleasant to touch. He wobbled through the trees, mindful to keep to the semi-dry grass, and avoid roots. Somewhere in the distance, a twig snaps and his eyes widen as they fall on its source; a stag. He settles down low, watching the graceful creature, studying it. For now there isn’t much he can do other than observe it, he is far too small and his teeth, although needle sharp, are too frail to be anything other than a nuisance. He wagged his small spike of a tail as the alien creature grazed watching as it lifted its head and turned its curiously large ears to listen, maybe it even knew he was there and simply saw no need to chase him off. text Speech |
She, too, heard the fateful snap of a twig. And she darted right towards the stag that made it; her large, wolfish paws kicking up dirt in her wake. "Hey!" she yelled at the creature, stepping right in its path, her innocent chestnut eyes staring up at it. A playful snarl left her maw and she attempted to nip at it, but before she could the stag moved and her ears folded. She was crushed. "Come back!" she yelled. "I want to play!" A definite pout formed upon her maw and she sulked, her shoulders hunched, not seeing her brother who was also interested in the stag. The toy she took from him.
OOC: Assume the stag runs but I did not state it so if you want to play the stag coming back or attacking you can (: I didn't want to pp the stag too much so you can say he isn't gone if you want or describe what he does more (: Feel free to pp the stag and Aella as well.
The deer fled immediately, rearing back in shock before bounding away in swift, fluid motions. “HEY!” Tyranis barked, rising from his hiding place his coarse hackles rising in anger. “You scared it stupid!” He yelled in his still- high pitched voice as he bumbled toward her, uncaring if he stepped in the wet leaves or not. He hated his sisters, they were always making their mother work harder than she should have and always getting in his way. “You always ruin everything Aella!” He growled, his thin ears pinned back against his skull as he towered over her. Tyranis was already much bigger than her and his other siblings, a fact that he abused whenever he saw fit to push them around and bully them, at fact that he intended to abuse at this very moment. He rose back, intending to bring his large paws down on her side and push her into the ground, to hurt her enough to chase her off and if she went back to their mother her would simply deny it.

A sharp bark interrupted the silence and she turned to see her brother whirling towards her. She was large but he larger; and he towered over her, yelling in a high voice. The unshed tears in her eyes began to form and now they dropped like waterfalls. He had pinned her to the ground and she felt the weight of his claws buried in her skin. Unloved. Even her brother did not love her. She found herself sobbing loudly under him, unable even to voice what she was feeling. She didn't push him back but rather melted there, having her first breakdown. Then she was howling. Howling. She was so, so sad.
OOC: D'aww, it seems abrupt but it felt like the right time. xP Feel free to invite Storm if you want some mama drama!

Lying to his mother had made him feel…weird. It made his stomach twist painfully and to some extent he felt as though she didn’t believe him. That hurt to think of but what it ultimately meant was that lying to his mother was pointless.
He reached the herb den and after a few minutes of searching, found the bark. He had no interest in herbs or in healing but there was only one kind of bark in the den and even though he had rolled his eyes and allowed his mind to wander as Storm attempted to teach them the basics of healing he knew it had to be the herb she needed and turned to run back, hoping Aella had kept her big mouth shut.
