Whatever it Takes

A faint yellow sun made its way into the den; and she was up. The dark gradient pup tumbled out of her sleep, clumsily making her way outside with little finesse. Her large paws crossed each other and she tripped, mumbling faint complaints until she was up again. It was like it had never happened. Her chestnut eyes were light and she jumped around with joy. She felt so free now! She could go wherever she wanted; whenever... Kind-of. She still relied on her mama for food and her siblings to play with, and the Primo for protection - at least she kind of thought he protected them. He was the one who told them about the snakes, anyways. Her mind was buzzing with energy as she leaped through the grass, barking and singing to herself. "Morning, morning... Tis a beautiful morning," she hummed, as if it was a fact everyone should know. Her tail swung behind her and she let the sun warm her heart and the joy radiate from within.
