The pack was growing it seemed - he'd already taken notice of the brilliantly colored pup that was around his age that had joined. His ma had basically accepted her as her own kid and Rory didn't think much of it, it just seemed like something that she would do. He was content to accept Jewell as a new family member despite the fact that he couldn't understand her at all. He still didn't know what to think of her coat colors but he was sure he'd eventually stop staring at them eventually.

Ritsy and Hakon's disappearances weighed in on his mind, but mostly Ritsy's. He hadn't visited the crime scene, it'd been cleaned up by now and washed away by rain, but he knew his mom was upset. She hadn't shared any details, but whatever had happened was obviously bad. It had to be if all the adults were all on edge about it and he'd seen how anxious some of them looked at the pack's last meeting. On the other hand he was excited about training with his aunt Fortune. He already had an idea on what rank he wanted to pursue, but he knew he'd have to complete his training with his mentor though.

Rory trailed to the border like he'd see his ma do so many times. He could easily pick out the paths she took and which direction she'd travel on the border. He wasn't a year yet so he knew better than to leave the territory, but he could patrol it like she did, right? He padded along the border, following his mother's trail and he sniffed around. He didn't smell anybody which he supposed was good, unless someone was wanting to join, in which case he wouldn't have minded being the one to find them. How cool would it be to run into someone like that like Faite or Fortune did?
