She was having a good time exploring this new area with the long, draping willow branches. She would probably end up taking a piece of it back to her mother to ask if it was helpful for healing purposes, but for now she was enjoying just examining them and getting familiar with this place. She found her way to the pond and as she walked up to the edge of the water she noticed a slight splash and ripple across the surface of the water. Her ears perked up and she kept still and watched the water curiously. After several moments she thought maybe she had imagined it, but then a turtle's head peeked back over the surface. Daelos' eyes widened and she gasped from surprise - at which the turtle instantly disappeared again. Her smile deflated immediately into a disappointed pout.

She had never seen a turtle before so she didn't even know what it was she had seen. That didn't mean she wanted it to disappear so quickly! In fact it only gave her more reason to keep it around longer so she could figure out what it was! With a huff she sat down on her haunches to watch and wait for it to come back. She barely even blinked to keep from missing it. But what would she even do if it did come back up to the surface? It's not like the answer would just appear for her with it.

Faite Ethereal Adravendi

It was strange to notice that all of a sudden her litter was almost a year old. A few weeks more and winter would be here and they could no longer be considered pups. In some regards it was a relief. Them growing older meant she didn't have to watch them as intently as she often did, but in other aspects she knew she'd miss it. They were her babies and they always would be and she'd certainly miss them being tiny and annoying little puffballs.

Today though, today Faite was intent on seeing someone else's little puffballs. She hadn't really spent much time with any of Zuriel's children, but she was excited to be a mentor for Daelos. Zuriel's litter was a season younger than her own litter and it was about time they got to know their aunt and vice versa. Eventually she would find the time to see Miach and Kane as well, but for now Daelos would do. At some point she also had to train Jewell, but for now she was more focused on letting the rainbow child adjust to the pack's life and rules. English lessons would be another priority - the language barrier was certainly proving to be difficult.

She managed to track down Daelos' scent to the pond and she spotted the younger female easily enough. She took note of the ripple of the water as something disappeared underneath and the huff that followed as Daelos sat down. Faite's head cocked to the side as she tried to figure out what she was watching. Guess the only way she could find out was to get closer. She crept forward, barely making any noise so she wouldn't disturb whatever it was she was waiting for, before she sat down next to the pup.

"What are you looking at?" She whispered.

"Speech"
