Getting lost wasn't something that Constantine was necessarily proud of. Tracking Falcon was hard and if he got off course one more time he was sure he'd never find him or Jumanji again. He had decided to take a break for the night and keep looking first thing when it started to rain. However, being at in a field full of rocks with no coverage, he was soaking wet and less than thrilled about it. While it wasn't a storm, the rain was steady and in only a few minutes the rocks and him were drenched and puddles were already starting to form in the grass where the land slopped slightly.

There wasn't anywhere he could go to get out of the rain and navigating without the rain was hard enough. He hoped he could still pick up Falcons scent, but at least he knew the direction they were going. He'd catch up eventually, right?

Connie whined softly and climbed onto the largest, flattest rock he could find through squinted eyes. Curling himself up into the tightest ball he could make and covering his face with his tail, he hoped the rain would stop soon. It was a warm night, but the rain was starting to cool off the air and it wouldn't be long before he'd not only be wet, but also cold.

It had been a rough night for him. Twice he tried to fall asleep only to be snapped awake by dreams that were now painful memories. He supposed he could have asked a healer for something to help him sleep but as far as he knew there wasn’t even a healer in the small, newly formed pack. With little to no other option he simply started to walk, hoping it would clear his head. He was almost grateful when it started to rain, the downpour giving him something other than his old life to think about. Without even realizing it he had wandered down the Maw, through the Steppe and into the wide valley framing the Eastern coast. He was soaked to the bone by then, but he hardly cared. His large paws splashed in the shallow puddles with every step, his dark fur blending in to the even darker night.

He had just about been ready to turn back and return to his den when his near blind gaze caught a glimpse of stark white sitting on a stone. Another wolf. Someone had told him that the best cure for a pensive mind was company. He knew who had told him that but he didn’t want to think of them, not when he had so far managed to wipe his mind of thought. He crept toward the male, head low, his good eye flashing in the low light. He crept closer, his head leveled with his body, his hot breath steaming in the cooling Autumn air until he was standing right in front of the stranger. “Oy.” He said gruffly, trying to catch the stranger’s attention. “Wat ‘re ye doin’ owt here?”

The pelting rain was dulling his senses, making him unable to smell or hear really anything besides the rain that seemed to never end or slow to a point he could find shelter. He was far beyond cold now, his thin body unable to produce much warmth when drenched entirely. He knew he should've stayed closer to their small group, he was stupid for meandering. They'd get angry with him for sure if he was late, but he couldn't see! Maybe they had hunkered down for the night somewhere too.

He hadn't even heard the sounds of someone approaching until he had been spoked to. His head shot straight up, eyes squinted from rain falling into his eyes. He lowered his head some, ears spreading to divert some rain. The male that spoke to him spome with a thick accent he hadn't recognized. The little amount of hope that it'd be Falcon or Jumanji vanished, but at least someone had cound him up here.

"I'm l-lost..." Shivering, his words came out in a stutter. Thunder rumbled in the distance then and Constantine whined softly.

He gave a small non-committal hum in response. The male was old enough to be on his own, and large enough to stand a chance in a fight, seeing another male act so vulnerable was…odd to him, but he supposed his upbringing had been rough. He supposed he could understand why the boy seemed so afraid, it was dark, the thunder was slowly building, getting louder, and he wasn’t exactly visually appealing.
“Roit.” He grumbled. “Whar ‘re ye s’pposed tae be?” He asked, his tail flicking to the side and sending a spray of water off his fur. It would be impossible to determine if he was from another pack in the rain, but there were a good number of packs in the East of Boreas excluding Crew. Then again, for all he knew the boy had been part of Crew and had simply wandered outside of the borders. So far he only knew of Chaos, Artemis and Valdis, he doubted the pack was just the four of them but he had yet to see anyone else.

When asked, Constantine didn't know exactly where he should be, but he knew that tracking someone would eventually take him somewhere. If Falcon had a clue as to where they were going exactly, Constantine wasn't aware. He was along for the ride more or less, but the young male found a great interest in breaking away from the pack they were from and trying to start something here. He agreed to go with the older male and the female, what did he have to lose?

"I'm tracking a pack mate. Don't know exactly where I'm going, but he seems to." His teeth chattered as he spoke, though it was quiet. He wondered what this man was doing here, honestly. Was this a pack territory? He certainly hoped not - the rain had made it impossible for the boy to find any borders. "What about you?" He asked as he uncurled himself and sat up on the rock, still obviously uncomfortable in the rain with the looming thunder in the distance.

He opened his mouth to answer but before he could the sky illuminated with a brilliant bolt of lightning and was chased with a mighty roar of thunder. He looked from the sky, back to the male and huffed.
“let’s git ye outa th’ rain furst, aye?” He said, and looked the valley over. There was a small, most likely long abandoned den possibly from that one pack that had been in these lands before. What was it? Bah, it didn’t matter, the den would do just fine. “C’mon.” He grumbled, and slunk toward the den without bothering to check if the boy was following him or not. The den had clearly only been meant for one wolf before but had been dug out enough for Ruthgar to shake himself dry. He plopped down with a yawn waiting for his newly found companion to join him. He had mentioned trying to find a packmate but if that was the case he would have no luck trying to find them in a storm. He felt more comfortable around men than women and unlike his encounter with Valdez- or whatever her name was- he could already think of several topics the two could discuss while they waited out the rain
