Sitting on the very edge of a drop that seemed to be a million miles long was probably tempting fate, but sometimes you just had to have some fun, even if that fun was having your front claws wrapping over the edge. A breeze carrying the very essence of winter chill blew past, leaving the starry girl shivering but not deterred even as dirt crumbled from the ledge she sat on. It was thrilling to do crazy stupid stuff every so often.

Sapphire blue eyes looked out over the vast ocean waves, drinking in the sight as the she watched the first rays of light stretch and reach their way up over the horizon as though feeling their way through the dark. It would be a flat out lie to call this anything other than beautiful. Sighing, Iskra thought about her chat with Ruthgar and about the fact that she really needed to join that pack. Maybe she'd do it in the next couple days. Nothing was stopping her, heck the promise of having fun pack mates and getting to be around her sister was extra enticing. Okay, she'd do it. Soon as possible - after she watched this sunrise, of course. It was turning the sky so many brilliant shades, not enjoying the show would be absolutely criminal.

Her sister was easy to pick out, perched as she was on the edge of the cliff. If it weren't Aeris blood in their veins Artemis might have been worried for her, but instead she simply approached at a jouncy trot. "Isk! I've been looking for you!" Well, inbetween running the occasional border patrol and doing her best to keep the pack fed. Winter and Spring brought pups, usually. It weighed in the back of her mind. She came up to stand beside her sister, two marvelous gems in an otherwise ordinary landscape. Well, excepting the gorgeous view of course. She would have bumped her sister, something affectionate and small, if they were perched so precariously. Aeris blood or otherwise, she wasn't a fool. "What have you been up to, sis? I was hoping to pick up scent of you on my last patrol." Art shot her a lopsided grin. In truth, seeing her sister again after so long had rekindled a coal of terrible loneliness deep inside her, one she thought had gone out with the separation of her family long ago. It wasn't that she was short of good company (certainly not with Chaos Saxe around), but she yearned for the companionship of kin. "I might have to stash you somewhere more accessible, I think." With that came a wink, and her tone implied it was no more than a joke. Still, wouldn't that be nice? Well, she didn't want to be ungrateful. It was simply nice to have found her again. "What do you have in store for the day?" Small talk was never her strong suit, it certainly helped that she was genuinely curious about what Iskra had been up to. "Talk" "You" Think

She looked back over her shoulder, grinning as her bright blue sibling came bouncing up. "Have you? Well you haven't done very good if it took you so long to find me!" she joked, tail sweeping over the ground in a playful manner, eyes taking on that sparkling bright sort of life that seemed to spark in her when she was around kin. It really had been far too long since they got to spend time together. "I haven't been doing too much, nothing noteworthy. Wait, I did manage to talk to some of your pack-mates actually, that's something."

Yawning to dispel some of the sleepiness that was trying to cling to her, she had to stop herself from shaking out her fur lest she topple over her precarious perch. A good shake would feel good but probably wasn't worth dying for, no matter how nice it was. she stifled a small laugh at the remark, "As much as I'd love to be treated like leftover dinner, maybe I ought to just join that pack of yours so you can hunt me down any time you like." Backing up a few steps before stretching, she added through another loud yawn, "Actually, that was my plan, though probably not today. I was just thinking about doing it soon before you arrived, though. May as well quit putting it off since we all know I'm going to do it eventually."
