It was a rare thing this winter for the Boss of Crew to venture outside of pack lands. Crew was situated in the mountains and highland steppes, both places keeping the snow accumulation low in comparison, while outside lands were buried in snow over his head. His head. He couldn't even begin to imagine how loners were making out in this. How could you even hunt in this?
Maybe ambush snow-bound deer. It was getting cold enough that the snow was developing a bit of a crust, which would hold smaller wolves probably. He wondered if it would get cold enough to freeze a crust strong enough for him. He lifted his nose to sniff at the air. Yeah, probably. That smelled like a cold front anyway. Paying more attention to the weather than his surroundings, the male almost fell right into a half-covered gap in the snow and only by cursing and throwing himself backwards was he able to keep from falling. His paws disturbed the snow around it though, causing a good chunk to fall in to reveal what was apparently the entrance to a crypt. Hm. Chaos peered at the gaping hole in the snow calculatingly. He'd never explored this area of the lands surrounding his pack, in part because he could not see any particular use for caves except sleeping, and he didn't need that when the Maw provided caverns and good hunting. But he did possess an overabundance of curiosity, and right now it was salivating over this unknown crypt.

Unless otherwise mentioned as absent, assume that both Great Horned owl companions are nearby
Chaos speaks in a strong lisp, which I am usually too lazy to write
