It was time. She had heard the faint call of Crucifx. Granted it had taken longer than expected, but she had not lost faith that the man would eventually get his pack. She would rise, gather her children from their play with a gentle bark and her gaze would shift to Ares, brightening with excitement. Her crown would tip back, calling for Katja. She hoped the woman would understand, but this was what was best for her family, for her kids. Her would look down at her two kids, smiling. "Now listen very carefully. We are about to travel to a new home, its far away, but we will be safe there. Are you two ready?" She would look at both of them, fully aware that she was taking them from their birth place. But they would grow up elsewhere, in a pack that held promise. She would look back at Ares, moving to nuzzle him as they waited for Katja. The woman always seemed to be prompt, so hopefully they wouldn't have to wait long. Haunches would recline as she leaned against Ares, tattered audits swiveling as she listened for the approach of the dark Queen.

She'd told him of the prospect of a new pack, he was curious of it. He'd never held a particularly strong bond to the Ebony lands, though he'd lived in one of their claimed territories with their father, it was more of a sad reminder than a place that felt like home. Devya would prep their children, he wondered how they might react after only knowing the lands. Much like he'd left the mountain when he was quite young. His mate would call forth the current ruler of the Ebony crown, and he would stand by her side. He'd patiently await their leader while keeping an eye on the two children at their feet. He didn't know how long they'd wait so he'd try to occupy them with little tickles and play swats.

It wasn't entirely long after Bane's family left that another call came for Katja, and her eyes closed as she listened to it. Likely it was only the recent issue that clouded her thoughts but she could not help the dark feeling that coiled within her. She moved to answer the call quickly, however, recognizing the voice of Devya, mother to the youngest pups of Ebony... remembering as she did the danger posed to them by the wolf who'd dared intrude upon Ebony land to see them.

Seeing the small family, though, how happy they appeared as they awaited her, assuaged some of her vague fears. "Devya, Ares," she greeted them calmly. "What is it you were needing?"

They wouldn't wait long. Her children would distract her until Katja approached. her greeting was warm as she questioned what they needed. She would smile, hesitating for a moment. Never before had she been in this situation so she wasn't entirely sure on how to proceed, but there was no use in procrastinating. "Hello Katja. I'm not sure how to say this, so Ill just do it. A new friend of mine has started a pack of his own, and extended an offer for us to join, and we would like to take it." She would speak confidently, words flowing easily from her dark lips. She wasn't sure what to call Crucifix, so she figured the term friend would be the easiest. Her gaze would shift to Ares, a smile playing happy on dark lips. Her dual toned gaze would return to Katja, falling silent as she waited for the Queen to speak. She wasn't sure what the woman would say, or how she would react to them wanting to leave, but hopefully it would be a pleasant transition that would end smoothly and without too many hard feelings.

That dark feeling reared its head inside of her like the ominous swirling of storm clouds. Bane's family was not, it seemed, the only one that would break from the pack. It was not wholly unexpected as the pack became more cognizant of the changes that came with her rule, the differences in the way things were to be, yet surprise or not it was an affront to her pride. Very well. Raisa was gone, her children gone to Olympus or to adventure, the old Ebony slowly dissolving away anyway. Perhaps this was the gods telling her what she must do.

Her smooth face, masked emotionally as well as physically, rose from the pups where her gaze had lingered in her thoughtfulness, to the mother who she fixed with an imperious stare. "Then go," she spoke expressionlessly. "You've no wish to be here, that is clear enough. I trust you realize that if you are found on pack lands in the future you will be treated as any other outsider. Go, and may the gods grant your children a safe home with your... new friend." There was no threat in the surprisingly mild tone as she said the words so blandly, but there was naught but dismissal in her cold silver eyes as she turned away with a flick of her striped tail to stalk away into the brush.
