Maybe it was a bad idea to come here. As much as Akahito wanted to hide it, he was more than a little freaked out by the foggy area around him. The land he was walking on, if he could even call it that, seemed as if it would give way any moment. Ears pinning against his skull, if just for a moment, he continued on his way. Soon enough, he hoped, he would be out of here. Soon enough he wouldn't have to deal with all of this.

His jaws parted slightly, and he almost flinched at how heavy the air felt. It was as if he could feel it on his tongue. Jaws closing just as quickly, he continued on his way, walking faster. The sooner he got out of here, the better.

He had spotted the man a while ago and had silently traversed the swamp after him, but never making his presence known. He may have stuck out like a sore thumb but he knew how to hide himself when he needed to. The man looked like he was ready to jump out of his own skin at any moment, which Dumois found amusing considering how comfortable he felt in the swamp. The stranger looked like a patchwork of reds, white and black, but he was far from ugly in the voodoo priest’s eyes. Dumois loved anything that looked strange or out of place and this male definitely qualified. He stood behind the male, just out of his line of sight and waved his tail listlessly from side to side. “Morning cher!” He blurted out loudly from behind him, half expecting the male to run for the hills when he did.
