It feels like we just met

This place felt like the older, run-down cousin of the first oak forest he had seen. He could even see this being an alternate reality where the ivy won over the trees instead of the otherway around. Little spots of light made a spattering of spots across his back and neck, but for the most part everything around him was fairly dark despite the fact that it was the middle of the day. There was a steady breeze that continually ruffled the thousands of ivy leaves around him. At least everywhere he had been so far on this adventure had something interesting to see or explore. It also helped that there seemed to be an endless supply of interesting wolves around as well. Maybe he was just easily entertained. Either way, it was making all the walking and calloused paw pads worth it. He noticed that he was slimming down a good bit and his legs felt stronger so going a long distance didn't feel so awful any more. His paws were still ever so slightly too big for him and his legs were still a bit awkwardly long for his body, but he wasn't far off from being full grown. In his mind he was an independent adult, but was he really? |
