They had made it off the island but Elpis was terrified of running into that male again... Forsaken... If he caught them there was sure to be Hell to pay. But Eli had been so tired after the swim. She had laid down on the beaches of the bay, hoping that Viho had taken her word and gone off to see if he could find his way home. She felt guilty he had stayed with her as long as he had... Was she really worth it?

Under the Spring sun the little femme curled up with a soft whine. She still didn't understand what she and Viho had done... And it scared her. Why were there such wicked wolves in the world? An ear twitched and Elpis lifted her head, opened bicolored eyes, and spoke softly.
