take a bite of my heart tonight [Faite]

[setting this before his thread with Samael, for my sake] The crisp aroma of water attracted the herald, mammoth form slipping between the trees. A small clearing that contained a lake. Water lapped gently at its shore. Perhaps this would make a good base of operations for the family, while they went about their mission. Golden limbs would draw the wolf to the edge of the water, and he stooped to drink. Whiskers trembled as the water touched them, and the male reached out his tongue. It was cool and refreshing. Thankfully, it was also clean. His last attempt had not been so pleasant. A muddy creek had left him looking like a fool for some time the previous day. Raphael was probably still laughing about it. Somewhere around here, there were quite a few packs. Perhaps they would be interested to hear of the Lord, and perhaps join the following. He would consult his siblings when they next reunited. For now, it was a matter of locating a den. Something big enough for the larger forms of some of his siblings. Perhaps a cave would be appropriate. This didn't seem like the locale for such things. The titan mused about finding somewhere for just himself for the time being. Facing away from the lake, dark nostrils were pressed to the ground. Only faded scents. Lifting his head next, he scented the air. Birds, deer trails. Those were tucked away for later reference. Soon enough it would be time to eat. Lowering himself to the ground at the shoreside, he basked in the dappled light of the afternoon sun. It was a nice sensation on his back, and he didn't feel drawn in any particular direction yet.
