I found the rainbow

Being out of the pack lands for a moment felt like a breath of fresh air and a wave of anxiety all at once. For just a little bit she didn't have to worry about her siblings making a fool of her. On the oposite side of that relief was the realization that she was out here all alone and she'd be in trouble if her mother found out she had left the pack lands unsupervised. But she was pretty much a big girl now, right? After all she almost a full two seasons old now. It was nice and warm today and that made her want to go swimming. Not just splash around in the steam near the den, but really swim! She went to the lake that was just next door to where the pack was, keeping her head high to make it look like she knew exactly what she was doing. She walked right up to the edge of the water until her front paws were completely submerged in the cool water. Her magenta eyes squinted to see out over the sparkling water as she peered at the big rock that was in the middle of the water. Maybe she could make it over there... then she'd really be all alone for a minute. |
