With a huff Kanja paused to scent the air. Somewhere around here had to be a cave of some sort, because she was smelling something earthy. Where though? She eyed the terrain around her and then lifted her nose to scent the air again. It was close...
With neck outstretched Kanja followed her nose to an outcropping. She circled it, her head oscillating as she searched for a scent, and lo and behold, there it was. A great big yawning hole opened up on the opposite side of the outcropping. She poked her head in and inhaled deeply. It smelled of mildew and earth, and she got the impression that it was more than just a little hole in the ground. "Hello?" Her voice echoed down the passage before fading into the distance. Kanja's ears pricked forward in interest. Man, it sounded like it went on forever! This time she yelled into the entrance. "Hello!" Hehehehe.
Well, this was just too good to pass up! With a spring in her step Kanja trotted into the crypt. She didn't know what to expect and that was the point. Anything could be down there. Her imagination took that thought and ran wild as she walked deeper into the cave. The further inside she went the darker it became and soon, with only a pinpoint of light behind her to mark the entrance, Kanja's imagination began to paint terrifying images on the walls. Monsters whispered at her ear and skittered along beside her. Her pulse quickened and her senses heightened. Oh man, this was gonna be a good one. She could feel it already.
