Since meeting- and subsequently spending the night with- Artemis, Angelus couldn't get her off his mind. She was clever, bold and beautiful. It wasn't an exaggeration to say she was the most amazing woman he'd ever met. As far as he was concerned, all other women paled in comparison. Since that night all he'd thought about was her. The way she smiled, her bold wit. How she felt in his arms...
He was desperate to see her again.
So he'd set out for the Woods. That was the last place he'd seen her so of course he'd start there. So engrossed was he in his thoughts that Angelus nearly missed the border scent that now marked off the Woods. The smell hit him just as he'd stepped in and he froze with one paw still raised. Annoyed, he snuffed at the ground to make sure he wasn't mistaken.
Nope. These lands were claimed now.
With an aggravated growl the giant took a step back and began to walk along the outside of the border. He paced one way and then the other all the while staring daggers into the pack land. The place they'd spent the night was on the other side of the territory. Now he'd have to walk all the way around....unless... He had half a mind to cut across the Woods. The pack was new and the alpha, by the scent of him, was young. How much trouble could a young buck give him, really?
