One heck of a start
Stepping slowly around a corner, the tiny woman glanced left and right to ensure there weren't any sneaky creatures waiting to leap out of her in the passages ahead. Her breaths were deep and soft and each paw rolled expertly across the ground muffling and sound she might have made were she less careful. Exploring new places was kind of fun, but it was not fun when you were freaking lost and alone and paranoid something might jump out at any moment. Maple didn't know exactly when she'd become convinced that she may be ambushed at any second, but now that she'd had the thought all the woman really wanted was to get the hell out of these caves. Her fur was wildly curled and disheveled as usual, dirt sticking to one cheek where she'd pressed too close to a wall in an effort to sneak around a corner earlier. Brown eyes wide with the mounting panic, Maple darted across the open space of the next cave, looking for an exit and finding none. This wasn't the one? How?! Why?! Sitting down defeated Maple held back tears of frustration. Actions. "Speak" "Think." |
Trying to get back up in a hurry she said, "I'm sorry!" She sat back and looked at the female. Studding the white female for a moment she realized her face looked quite...Sad? Maybe? Rani never did well with sad so she popped up and put on her award winning smile and said " I'm Rani! Nice to meet you down here in this deep dank cave! What a coincidence that both of us are here" at the last part she laughed her snorting child like laugh. Anywhoos what's your name she asked.
Maple was almost unable to hold back the waterfall that threatened to come bursting from her eyes as anger and panic rose within her reaching a fever pitch. Her descent into despair was quite abruptly interrupted though, as a russet woman came trotting 'round the bend and bumped right into Maple. Tiny as she was, the little ivory woman was no match for anyone even marginally larger than her and toppled over backwards, eyes wide with shock. The words came flying at Maple and she almost ducked as though they were physical projectiles attacking her. Almost, but in the end she realized she was still on the ground and ought to get up already. Rolling to her paws, Maple noted she was even more dirty than before. Yikes, caves were not kind to pale fur. Looking at the woman, Maple realized she still hadn't replied to anything she'd said. Oh jeez, get it together Maple, wouldya? "Oh, sorry, uhm, hi." Yikes. "M- my name's Maple." Glancing to either side, Maple wondered what this girl was doing here. "Hey, do you, uh, know how to get out of here?" Actions. "Speak" "Think." |
