It was so tempting for the curious yearling to sneak away from his mother and siblings. He wanted to learn all that he could about the world around him. His father had separated from them and he had all intentions on finding out where he had gone. Though by now the trail was fairly stale and would be rather difficult to navigate the young male would not stop at that. Determination shined brightly in the same colored eyes of his father. It took him four times as long to find his way to the borders of the forest. For a brief moment he stopped looking around and taking in his surroundings.

He had failed to realize it had grown dark, that night time had overtaken the sky. The time it had taken to get here took away the rest of his afternoon, but the night was a lot different from where they were currently staying. The fog was thick and he had to narrow his eyes to try and see better, but it didn't help much. Wrinkling his nose the yearling strode forward without fear or hesitation. Though the boy failed to continue to try and fallow the trail. He had forgotten all about it as he focused on trudging through the fog.

Soon though he began to realize that he had no idea where he was at, or where he was going. Everything looked alike, a blanket of white. He stopped again and looked around with a light huff trying to decide what to do now.

Ara's wandering had become slightly aimless again - while she knew the future plan was to find a pack for both both her and Athena, as well as Hymn and his family, it wasn't quite so easy as waltzing up to pack borders and questioning them. Not for her, at least. She wanted somewhere safe to settle down, to hopefully live out the rest of her days, without worry or fear for the safety of her family. A pack, hopefully, without enemies. Ara preferred to skirt around their borders, to watch from afar and observe until she found a place suitable to call home. It'd been awhile that she'd been out and about at night, but she was having trouble sleeping during this cool spring night, and figured a walk through the forest might help clear her mind.

When the scent of someone familiar touched her nose - was that her son's scent that ran faintly through the forest? - she redirected her path toward the source of the smell. Even from a distance, once she saw him, she could tell that it wasn't her son at all - this wolf had a pale coat, a sharp contrast to her son's dark one. It was obvious even though the fog, which hung heavy over the forest floor. Brows furrowed as she slowly walked forward, noticing now that the scent was only touched with her son's scent, but was not his alone. Could.. this be one of the grandchildren he'd spoken of? A smile pulled at her lips as she lowered her head and let out a bark in his direction, hoping she didn't startle the boy. "Excuse me?" Ara, always polite, didn't want to overwhelm the stranger, and paused a suitable distance from. It was possible he was merely someone Hymn knew, but she had to ask. "Do you happen to know a man named Hymn?"

His mood didn't dampen, nor did the young male admit that he was in fact lost. He instead tried to take the high road focusing more on what he could explore and not worrying about how to get out of here. There was bound to be something interesting out there to explore and he was afraid he would miss it. The world was so big and there was so many places to go and explore. He wasn't sure what mom and dad's plans were. He didn't know if they planned to continue to travel or find a pack to be apart of, whatever they were. Being that they had begun to travel when he and his siblings were old enough Allegro had never experienced or learned about a pack, so really he had little clue to what they were. Maybe someday he would, but for now he was extremely happy with how his life was.

He was looking around, trying to decide where exactly he would head next when a voice called out to him. He had been wrapped up in his thoughts and not at all paying attention so her approach had gone unnoticed. For a moment the young male wondered if there was a ghost talking to him and his cyanide blue eyes darted around until they landed on the older female. Then she asked if he knew a man named Hymn and the young male's eyes lit up.

"That's my dad!" he announced proudly with his tail wagging and a smile on his face.

The one good thing about being a loner, and perhaps one thing she would quite miss, was that she could move without rhyme or reason and never really worry about being lost. After spending so much time on her own - even in Fiori she tended to stray at times, spending significant time away from their packlands - she wondered if she would easily be able to settle down somewhere knew. Surely she would, but she wasn't sure the leader of whatever pack they decided to join would be nearly as forgiving and understanding as Leo had been. Hopefully, she had to keep telling herself.

But for now, her thoughts would rest on the male before her, who looked so strikingly familiar despite the fact that she knew she'd never met him before. Luckily, he was quick to answer her affirmatively, and her expression brightened. Hymn was his dad, which meant that this was one of the grandchildren he'd spoken of. "Believe it or not, I'm his mom," she explained, eyes brightening. She wondered how much this male knew about Hymn's parents - that he'd had two mothers, that Ara wasn't his parent biologically, but that it had never mattered; she'd loved him and Psalm just the same. She blinked slowly again, taking a few steps closer through the dense fog. "I'm Ara. And you are..?" Her head tilted slightly, her gaze warm as she regarded him.
