Disappointment.

Hmm. How disappointing. While he'd been gone, absent from Boreas and Auster, someone had taken over some of his favorite lands in the north. He'd always enjoyed climbing the threes of the Mile-High Woods; in fact, he'd even become half-proficient at traveling them, inasmuch a wolf could be. Probably not so much anymore.
This land though, neighbor to the Mile-High Woods, filled with redwoods, was just as nice. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the soft blanket of snow on the ground was equally nice- though, that snow was melting. That in itself was a disappointment in a few ways, but he supposed that it would be nice to see more prey out and about. Winter seasons were harsh on just about everyone, but in particular on lone wolves like him. He knew the winter season though, and did quite fine - it wasn't his first alone, and he hadn't even spent the winter in a bad area. This conversion from winter to spring was easy, simple, and plentiful... if you knew what you were doing.
Sighing and stretching, the large wolf then plopped down in the snow, lounging near one of the massive redwoods. What do, what do?
