OOC: set immediately after their return. His injuries haven't been taken care of yet.

The first thing he became aware of was the sand in his eyes. He tried to ignore it; to drag himself back into the sleep that was so sweet and painless, but it was too late. Once he became aware of the grit in his eyes it was impossible to keep from noticing other things. Hoarsely, he called, "Mutter?" He was home, wasn't he? The last thing he remembered was feeling relieved to have made it.

The pain in his neck started to make itself known again and he groaned, the sound quickly turning into a frustrated growl. After deciding there was no going back to sleep he forced his eyes open. For several long moments his vision was blurry. He blinked several times and scowled irritably into the haze. Finally it lifted and his surroundings swam into focus. This was not home.

Taufr heaved himself to his paws and lurched towards the den entrance with grim determination. He didn't know where he was, but he intended to find out.

The man had been out the while way back to Abaven. After they got him settled, Sparrow went on to look for some herbs to help him. She needed to get his fever down and clean his infection, then she could begin to treat his infection.

She collected a hearty amount of yarrow. She wanted to put some on his wounds, but also have him consume some to get the infection down. She decided a linseed cataplasm would help in the initial treatment of the infected wounds and horsetail to bind it. After that, she would have to see what all the man needed.

As she approached, the man was already moving. Sparrow dropped her bag of herbs and ran up to him, keeping a distance in case he snapped at her.

"Woah woah woah, now," Sparrow called. "Settle down there! You're going to worsen your injuries if you move around too much!"
