Navigation: The Range

Archon had invited his brother out a ways. He had been eager to catch up with Malleus and learn how his brother- named the heir of The Risen Empire- had been fairing in his journeys. He was awe-struck by his brother's accomplishment. Without even siring pups, he had risen to be the heir. It was an honor. The title itself gave Archon a new respect for Malleus. He thought of a way to connect with his brother, to learn from him. He wanted to simply be in his presence, maybe observe, and to soak up the graciousness and glory The Fallen God had bestowed upon him. They were still brothers, after all. Archon led him to a place he had only heard about. He knew this Spring time would bring flourishes of new plants. He led his brother eagerly, speaking only rarely to gauge Malleus's interest. "They say that this place has a plethora of plants that one can only find in this region," he said. "I would like to see if any would have the possibility to grow where we are currently situated." Amicably Malleus followed his brother as he led him on what seemed to be a cross country trip. Malleus was game; he relished the chance to get to spend time with one of his siblings. Since coming of age his litter seemed to have drifted apart and it was a shame. They'd shared a womb together. If anyone was made to live and work together, it was them. More than anything else he wanted it to go back to that way; they were all wildly different, but as a whole they could be unstoppable. For the most part the pair traveled in silence which was perfectly fine with him. While it might have been unbearable for some, Malleus was comfortable with it. He was content to simply be with his brother; to enjoy his presence and the journey they were sharing. They didn't need to fill their travels with empty chatter. After Archon spoke Malleus took a moment to study their surroundings. The south of Boreas was very similar to the heart of Auster. Surely there would be some overlap in growing conditions. "I don't see why not. Transporting the plants might be a bit of a problem, though." They would have to overcome not just the distance, but the shock of being uprooted. And there was the issue of carrying the plants. Musing aloud, he muttered, "It's too early for most seeds..."

Archon slowed his walk to make sure he could inspect the plants as they passed. Malleus seemed to think the plants growing in the pack was at least reasonable. According to what Archon had observed, he was also fairly sure some of them should be able to grow there. Malleus talked about having to transport them. It could be an issue. The journey was long. They would need help and something to hold the plants in. They would also need something to keep the plants watered while they traveled. Archon stopped by a particular plant, letting out a long, low hum. "I suppose," he began. "But I am unaware of many of the the native plants here. I wanted to get a better idea of them before I decided what would be worth the time of cultivating it within the pack lands." "Talk" "You" Think

Malleus eyed their surroundings as they walked. He was unfamiliar with almost everything; the only things that really stood out were the common medicinals - like dandelions - that grew abundantly everywhere and the ones he was fairly certain were nothing more than scenery fillers. "Hm," he rumbled thoughtfully. "Since neither of us know what to look for, perhaps we should find a native who does." Simply wandering around and coming to the conclusion that the plants would probably thrive in Auster seemed like a waste of time. Malleus wasn't keen on going home empty-handed and the only way to make that worth it would be to walk away with a list of plants and a plan for future harvest. The titan straightened and gave their surroundings a once over as if a native was simply waiting in the bushes eager to hop out and answer his questions.

Neither of them were getting anywhere with this. While Archon had narrowed down several plants that were probably useful, his studies into medicinals was far from advanced. He only knew a few of the common binders such as lambs ear and horsetail along with a few common mixes for poultices. Especially in new lands like this, it was difficult to tell what might be useful or what might be a weed, much less differentiate between helpful and harmful. Malleus suggested looking for a native and Archon nodded. After a while, however, it seemed there wasn't one readily on hand to serve them. Archon cleared his throat, "Should we announce our presence? Perhaps someone would answer." "Talk" "You" Think

"Hmmm," Malleus rumbled thoughtfully. Finally he shrugged and allowed his gaze to return to Archon. "Perhaps." This was his show; Malleus was simply along for the ride. He'd follow along amicably through most of his brother's schemes. There were probably limits to what he'd be willing to do, although in all honesty none came to mind at the moment. If Archon wanted to howl to see who answered, that was fine. If he wanted to corner and capture a native for an information shake down, that was fine too. Really, Malleus wasn't picky as long as the they didn't go home with nothing to show for their adventure. After a moment's thought Malleus decided to howl himself. He tipped back his head and let loose an inviting summons for any healers who might be in the area. Obviously it wasn't an emergency and his tone conveyed that. Now the real question was, would anyone answer?

Sauntering through the long grasses, Razi'd rather enjoyed spending a little time up in Boreas. It was at least a nice change of pace to explore up here when she found the time. Hanging near the family down in Auster was all well and good, but every now and then a break was required. She'd done some exploring, some hunting for herself, and was contemplating heading back when a call hit her ears. It was familiar- it was family. While she wasn't exactly pursuing her herbal interests wholeheartedly at the moment, she couldn't help but go answer the call, if for no other reason than to surprise her nephews with the unexpected appearance of a family member. She'd creep her way through some blueberry bushes, coming up behind the pair when she finally saw them, standing and waiting for an answer to the summons. With a smirk, she slunk closer, paws rolling lightly over the grass until she was hopefully but a few feet beind them when she chirped, "Need some assistance, or just looking to pick someone's brain?" "Speech"

Malleus made the decision to howl to see if anyone was nearby. Archon was ready to get the ball rolling on hunting down these herbs. He was curious to see what these plants could do. He didn't expect another family member to be nearby. As Razi approached, Archon flicked an ear back to listen to her. He wasn't startled by the approach of another, but he was pleased to hear a familiar voice. He turned to her, a small smile playing at the corners of his maw. "Razi," he rumbled. "I hope you are well. We were looking to... familiarize ourselves with the unique plants of this area." "Talk" "You" Think

He lifted his pity looking phisique from the terrain, seeing wolves they seemed to bs hunting for herbs? He stepped forward closing the length between them, before parted his maw to speak. "Hello are you in need of help? You guys need help?" he questioned. Does,"Speaks" Thinks Take my soul,  dear light. A thousand firefly,  can't  light up my soul.
