Having made it back to the mainland shore in one piece, Iskra took a long break, flopped awkwardly on the ground, the Trillium resting on the ground nearby. For the most part it looked pretty good - considering the journey it took to get here. After a great deal of huffing and puffing, Iskra decided swimming that much in such a short span of time was a no no. Navigator though she might be, she wasn't as in shape as she ought to be to do that crap. Maybe hanging around trying to make Dragon sleep in instead of being active had taken a bit of a toll.

When she was good and rested she gathered the new herbs as well as a little bundle she picked up before her visit to the island, and went on her merry way. Finding herself in some awful marshland was the last thing on earth she wanted right now, yet that's where she found herself. In a place where trees lifted themselves by their tangled roots in a desperate bid to escape the ground, and tiny bugs hummed and buzzed all around. She picked a path through the squelching, squishing horror of the swamp, watching a pair of eyes that sat just above the water far off to her left as she tried to hurry without falling into or onto something gross.

Her precious plants were held gently in her jaws, while she slowly climbed over logs and hopped from island to island of ground that was slightly less damp than that around it. She avoided dips in the ground, mud pits, anything that said "the ground or something near it might eat you." She missed Auster a lot more all of a sudden. No swampy marshy awfulness there, no sir.
