Awkward Turtle [Razi]

Birds chattered above Dómari's head as his muscular legs coiled. Crystal blue eyes sized up the water in front of him and with calculated precision he launched himself toward the water in a magnificent leap that was slightly spoiled by his joyful yell. He crashed into the water, sending sprays of it up into the air. For a moment he was completely submerged, enjoying the coolness and the strange echoing quiet of the water for just a second before he broke back through the surface. Grinning he swam back to the shore, his tail slowly waving in the water.
Dómari had needed a break from the life of a Celestial paladin. His thoughts had grown distant and faded and he was more and more unsure of his path with each passing day. He delighted though in Justice's company and he trusted her. Surely, everything was going to work out. He would grow in knowledge and wisdom and then… his thoughts drifted back to his family. And then?
He let the thought glide through the air for a moment. His gaze grew distant before he shook his coat, discarding water and memories as he trotted back up the little hill for another running start.

After the scouting mission to Lirim, all that was left was to return to the Empire and report their findings to Pyralis. Razi wasn't quite sure where Astaroth got off to, but she herself was taking a much needed detour to relax a little. Scouting was a good way to distract herself from her own thoughts, but not that it was over she had to actually put effort into keeping her mind busy. Honestly, until now she could so easily have forgotten it was her season... Ah, well, she'd just have to occupy her mind.
Making her way through the desert wasn't Razi's idea of a good time, and especially not in spring and summer. With her darker coat and thick fur, this was not her weather. Hot and mildly irritable, she thought she might actually shout for joy when she saw the lake up ahead. As soon as the woman reached it she would swim out to the rock in the center. Oh, how good the cool water felt! When she pulled herself up on to the rock and looked across the other side of the lake, she was amused to find someone running and jumping in. Gold optics followed his path as he went to repeat the action, and sweet lyrics fell from the goddess's lips, "Having fun?" her words were meant to be a bit derisive, but came out more curious than anything.
Sitting quite regally atop the boulder centered so perfectly in the now slightly churning waters, her skull pulled upwards, holding her head at a regal height so she might look down her chiseled muzzle at the man. The rays of the sun were cast along her back, catching the orange-gold fur there and lighting it like pale fire. Would this man with his silly game prove to be entertaining? Razi secretly hoped so.

Dómari stood for a moment, eyeing the path he would take and mentally marking out a spot in the water he would land in. Calculation was key, he knew that now. Before when he was just throwing himself forward he would occasionally mistime a take off and end up belly flopping in the water like a dead fish. It hurt! Now he was getting a system down. His legs coiled, his tail twitching a bit as he readied himself to run but just as he was about the take off a feminine voice called out and he yelped in surprise. Where did she come from? He gazed out to see her perched out on a boulder and for a moment he wondered how long she'd been there. Had she been watching him? Dómari grinned shyly at her. "Um, yea, I'm having fun. The water is really nice and cool. Feels much better to get wet so the breeze can cool you off. Especially after battle-training all morning."
He grinned, resumed his position and took another running start, this time determined to land perfectly. This time when he landed he slipped smoothly into the water, front legs first, followed by his head then his torso followed by his back legs. He resurfaced and paddled toward her so that his front paws were just resting on the edge of the boulder. "Did you come out here to cool off to?"
