Pacing, pacing, pacing. Restlessness, wandering, an insatiable itchiness. All of it afflicted her for hours. Then the first contractions came, and her pacing and restlessness increased - until the major contractions hit. That was when she fled to the den, pawing at the items that she had found herself collecting. Not much tufts of fur, feathers, soft things. It had been mildly enjoyable to strip a bird of its feathers even if she messed up with most of them. They were still mostly soft!

Either way, she was flopped on it now, head close to the ground, wincing as contractions hit and she felt herself automatically respond, pushing internally to get the first pup out. In between the bursts of pain, she'd call out: "Lark! It's time!" Because indeed, it would be soon. It would have to be; some time had passed already.

Note: Lillie has scars over her right eye and down her cheek. She also has scars under her chin and on her jaw. Her tables and art will most likely not reflect this. Unless it is specified otherwise, assume Lillianna is accompanied by her companion.

Lark was seriously and completely uneducated about this whole pregnancy thing. He didn't know how to deal with the nausea and the moodiness, and he was pretty sure with each inch that Lillianna's belly swelled he grew that much more anxious about it all. It seemed somehow unreal, like a dream he might eventually wake up from, and he wasn't sure if it all turned out to be a dream if he'd be relieved or utterly devastated.

The little pups inside of her didn't seem really, even the few times he'd felt them squirming in there against her stomach. Even as his excitement grew, so did how scared he was, and then finally when he heard her call out - saying it was time - he felt a whole new level of dread. He was quick to return to their den, immediately torn between leaving her be and pulling her close. He settled for moving to her side and pressing just lightly against her back, giving her space. "What can I do?" Lark asked, uncharacteristically panicked, though after a moment he lifted his muzzle slightly toward the den's entrance to let loose a call for any healer who might be free to help.

Pregnancy. It wasn't an easy scent to hide and Sparrow wasn't convinced Lillianna was trying to hide it anyway. The girl had seemed to lie low, no matter how Sparrow had tried to find her. It wasn't Sparrow's job to track down Lillianna and inform her of her rank change, nor was it her job to hunt her down and ask her about her pregnancy. She knew the time would eventually come when Lillianna would give birth and despite how much Sparrow would rather not deal with all that, she had already been collecting herbs and preparing for the occasion.

The father, however, was another story entirely. Sparrow was pretty sure she knew who it was, although she wasn't keen to say anything. She waited for one of them to come to her, to say something or ask her for advice. She waited, making herself available, but nothing came. Funny how almost every other pack member seemed to be able to come and talk to her except Lillianna and Lark.

At least Lark helped on hunts.

Which was why Lillianna was an omega.

But what did that mean for the pups? What were the pups of the omega? What rank or status did this grant them?

Nevertheless, the call did come. As she had expected, Lark was the one to call out. Sparrow grabbed the supplies she had been collecting and made her way towards the duo.

Sparrow found that the closer she god, the stronger the dormant anger inside of her welled. By the time she got to the birthing den, she was clutching her bag of herbs so tightly, her teeth hurt. She wouldn't do anything to hurt the pups or their mother ever, but that didn't stop her from being angry.

Her eyes flicked to Lark, cold and sharp. She set down the bag, unfurling it to unveil the herbs she had been collecting.

"Unless you know how to use these, I suggest you let me handle this," she said, addressing Lillianna rather than Lark. They would have their words later. For now, it was about getting those pups out alive.

The fact that Sparrow was pissed hadn't gone unnoticed, even though Lark wasn't the best at picking up signals. Especially from women, no less. Luckily, he was distracted by other things, and didn't have a lot of time to dwell on it. Except for the sudden moment that Sparrow answered his call and headed toward the den, her expression harsher than he'd expected. Though it might've been smarter if he moved entirely, instead he adjusted himself to give Sparrow access to Lillie if needed, though he still kept close to her near her backside.

"Think you know more than the both of us combined. Have at it," he responded dryly, but calmly. At least he knew Sparrow would help them, despite her own feelings about Lillie and the fact that they'd had pups together.. something he still hadn't fully figured out his own feelings on. He was excited, sure, but he was also scared shitless and a little nauseated currently. His gaze left Sparrow to focus on Lillie, brows furrowing in concentration as he focused on her.
