ooc: Dating this before the pack meeting if that's okay?

Since Iskra had come to the borders Frost had been more on edge since Jewell had been force bred. His mind was filled with thoughts that made him uneasy and lately his dreams had been turning to nightmares. What would happen if the Abraxas would come to Lirim's borders? What would they do if one of the family chose to try and take over Lirim? It made him nauseous to think what damage those giant wolves could cause. They somehow needed a plan, whether it be of escape or of battle. Lirim's numbers were big, but there was quite a few he would deem unfit to battle which included Jewell and her newborn pups. Rin also hadn't been doing well so that took another adult out of the mix. He felt that he needed to talk with Rory and get on the same page as the younger male, to figure out what they needed to do. Stardust was out and about which made Frost more on edge. He assumed she was out gathering herbs lately, but her presence had been scarce from the pack. The male lifted his head and let out a howl, calling for Rory if he was available. Before he headed out on another patrol he hoped to talk to the male and hopefully feel better. He was lounging under the Willow where his own shared den was and there he stayed to see if Rory would come. "Talk" & 'Think"

The male had a lot to think about. Frost hadn't been the only one worried about Iskra's appearance at Lirim's borders and the news she'd brought with her, and yet Rory wasn't sure what to make of it. It was easy to let his thoughts slip to blaming these Abraxas for what had happened to Jewell. What if one of them had raped her? Then he had to remind himself there were many wolves in Boreas, more if you counted Auster, and just placing the blame on one group without further proof wasn't going to do anything but get him in trouble. Still, it bugged him not knowing the rainbow girl's attacker, which was exactly why he was happy she was safe within the pack's borders. It was easier to keep an eye on her this way.

A howl drew him from his thoughts and his ears flicked absentmindedly as he recognized Frost's voice immediately. He rose from his spot that he'd been sitting and trotted swiftly to where the other male was. He was easy to spot since he was hanging near his den and Rory attempted a feeble smile before he came to a stop.

"Hey Frost, did you need something?"

"Speech"

The younger male must have been nearby because it wasn't long after his howl that he appeared. Frost wagged his tail in greeting as Rory began to speak. "I do..... I was wondering what your thoughts are on the information Iskra had given us," he replied with a nod. Two heads were better then one and maybe the two of them could come up with a solid plan to be able to train the pack on. Or maybe they could figure something else out. If anything he hoped that just talking about it may ease his anxiety about things. It would also distract him from worrying over Stardust since she had yet to return from her last trip out to herb hunt. "Talk" & 'Think"

"I do..... I was wondering what your thoughts are on the information Iskra had given us,"

Well at least he wasn't the only one worrying about the situation. Honestly Rory hadn't known what to make of the situation that Iskra had dropped at their doorstep. He often found himself mulling it over, but really it all just came back to the same thought. They had to do what was best for the pack and that came first and foremost. He wasn't going to go ruining what his mother had built just over some superstition and problems that arose elsewhere.

He also wasn't going to sit back and let the pack get lazy either though.

"I don't want to go looking for trouble. If these Abraxas wolves do show up then I'm more interested in making peace if possible rather than cause problems for the pack by picking a fight." He answered. It seemed like the best solution. He didn't quite want to go on Iskra's word on the matter considering he'd never run into one of these wolves, much less witnessed any heinous crime, but it wasn't as though he thought the fiery coated star woman was lying either. "Either way I think he should be prepared for a worst case scenario. I've been thinking about it a lot since Jewell's run-in's with less than desirable wolves and I want everyone to be able to hold their own in a fight if they have to."

"Speech"

It seemed Rory had been thinking about it too which gave Frost relief that the male was already trying to work through what to do. Frost's ears perked as he intently listened to Rory nodding in quiet agreement. Frost didn't want to go looking for trouble either. They had not bothered Lirim, so why would it make sense to go hunt them down. Plus to go make trouble meant putting the rest of the pack at risk and they didn't need that, not with the pups. Peace was a good thought, if these wolves would be up for it. Peace was a lot better option, but what if it didn't work? He went on and again Frost agreed, they seem to be similar in their thoughts. Now to come up with a further plan so that they were prepared. "I agree, peace would be ideal, but I feel we need to prepare in case they don't like that option," he said. "Do we prepare an escape plan for the rest of the pack or do we learn and train to fight tooth and nail with the mothers and pups hidden away?" "Talk" & 'Think"
