He was heading back from a successful hunt in the valley his quarry hanging from his mouth. The tall male had brought down a nice fat fawn that he planned to bring back to Jewell's den. She had just had her pups a few days ago and he was trying to ensure everyone was properly fed, including herself. Most times he would just leave meals by the entrance of her den, but today he was wondering if she felt up to coming out. He did his best to not disturb her, but the older male was concerned with how she was doing.
Besides with Star's absence he wasn't as happy going back to hang around it and be alone. He felt he needed to be in the company of others, to help keep himself from worrying over her safety as she was out gathering herbs, at least that what he assumed her to be doing. He was for the most part keeping himself busy, but those small times of downtime he wanted to be around others to distract himself.
He carried the kill to Jewell's den then gently laid it off to the side before going to the entrance. He would not enter, nor did he want to wake her children if they were asleep.
"Jewell I brought you something to eat," his deep vocals were quiet as they called, hoping not to disturb the children or Jewell if any were asleep.
He stepped back from the entrance beside his kill and waited to see if anyone would come out of the den.
