He hadn't seen the male, but that could be due to keeping himself busy with duties. The last time Frost's eyes were on the male, Rin hadn't looked good at all. With Dust gone he couldn't ask her to accompany him to see if the male needed medical treatment and he didn't want to disturb Zuriel since her child had just returned home. So Frost would try and make do on his own and see what he could do to help Rin.

With him Frost carried a fat fawn that had been born this past spring, hoping it would be a decent meal for his weary pack mate. He just wanted to be sure everything was alright, he didn't want one of Lirim's members up a dying because no one had made a point to check on them. Moving forward the male carried the young deer in his mouth heading to Rin's den. He wasn't sure what he would find when he got there, but he hoped it wasn't anything bad.

As usual, Rin tended to remain hidden away in his den. He knew he was failing Faite. Knew he was completely failing in his duties. And Every time he thought about how much of a failure he was being and how he had not been contributing at all like he should have been, the anxiety and depression had eaten at him even more. He failed them all. That he knew. He hadn't bothered to hunt, or train, or do anything but barely keep himself alive. The demons of his past haunted him in his dreams, the tired old male often waking with a start in the middle of the night.

Taking a deep and shaky breath, he covered his face with a thin paw and curled in on himself. He had been completely anti-social, save for the time or two he had talked to Fortune, but she had disappeared and there wasn't really anyone else he had felt comfortable with. And with Faite practically absent, he felt even more alone then before.

A small breeze swept into his den, making the skinny male shiver a bit. And with that breeze came the scent of Frostbite and a fresh kill. Maybe he was just passing by from a hunt? But the smell grew stronger, and he soon heard the approach of pawsteps until they came to a stop. Was the alpha here to chew him out for not performing his duties? He had to admit, he deserved it if that were the case. Hesitantly, he rose to his feet and shuffled forward until the sun made his eyes narrow against it. He looked pitiful, he knew. "Can...can I help you?" He asked meekly.

When he got close enough he stopped and laid the kill down. He was about to call out to the man, but it seemed he was already emerging from his den. He still looked horrible from what he could see and it concerned Frost. Yes it was frustrating that the male was slacking on his duties, but seeing his condition made his concern over ride his other feelings. He eyes soften a little bit before he nudged the kill with his nose.

"I brought you something to eat," he offered lifting his head and looking to the male. "And I came to make sure your alright, you havn't been looking so swell lately."

His tail wagged lightly as he looked to the male. He wondered what was going on. Was he ill? Was he suffering from depression and anxiety? It was uncertain but Frost wanted to find out and do what he could to help the male out. Maybe he would need to seek out Zuriel for from herbal help. He wanted Rin to get better before he would even think of pushing him to do his duties, because he was in no condition to be hunting.

Frost dropped the prey on the ground, nudging towards him. He had brought him something to eat? He bit back a sigh. Bit back the emotion that threatened to bubble from his mouth. So he took a deep breath and dipped his head in thanks. "Thank you, Frost." Everyone was doing their part. Or at least...most of them. And him? He had been failing since day one. He wasn't proud of it, not in the slightest. He stayed in his den most of the time. Sometimes coming out at night while the pack slept to hunt small things like mice. It wasn't much, really. But the small meals kept him alive, and he hadn't the energy to try and hunt bigger game.

"Thank you for coming to check on me...I...I know it's been obvious that I haven't been doing what I need to be doing but..." What? What excuse could he conjure up? He thought for a moment, and he just felt tired. Tired of what his mind did to him all the time. He was a prisoner to himself. A prisoner to the nightmares and the memories. "I'm sorry, Frost...I think I need help..." His voice shook a little. Gaze fixated on the kill that his alpha had brought, but he couldn't bring himself to eat. Not yet. He was depressed, yes. It crippled him. He felt like he could hardly function, and he despised himself for being so weak.

He seemed vary appreciative at what Frost was doing. Frost had hope that he could help Rin before it became way to late to do so. He looked vary skinny, to skinny to do his job properly. Frost wasn’t upset that he wasn’t doing his duties, instead he was fearful that the male would get hurt further if he tried to carry out his duties within the pack. He apologized, but struggled with what excuse to give, Frost was ashamed of himself not checking on him sooner, not helping him sooner that he wouldn’t get as bad as he was now. He was at fault at not doing his duties just as much as Rin had once been. Frost shook his head to quietly tell the male that there was no need to apologize.

“I’m just as much at fault Rin, I’m suppose to be checking in on everyone and I have failed to do so and I’ve let you down, let you struggle, and let you get this bad,” he said his gaze still soft because he was truly worried about the male.

If he didn’t get help Frost was unsure he could make it through winter even if it managed to be a vary mild one. If Rin died, Frost would surely blame himself because as alpha he was to protect and be sure all his members are well provided for.

“I want to help you if you are willing. It’ll simply be starting with getting your strength up. Once we get that up will get your muscles back in working order. Though I need to know if you need to see a healer, are you sleeping well?” Frost was determined to do what he could for Rin.
