Selene had decided that the South set her on edge. The Range. It was strange, made her feel... something weird. Like she was somewhere she shouldn't be, seeing things she shouldn't see. There had been someone else here once. Selene was learning something very intimate about the way of life of those that had walked this place. She was unsure what the feeling was, but it wasn't... good. A little dark. Like something deserted and then forgotten about. Surely a place this pretty should be committed to someone's memory?

The foundation of the home drew her in first. Careful eyes set on the structure, head quirking to the side softly. What was that? Why did it stand here in the way it did? Why did it look so sad? A place like this left her with more questions than answers. Curiosity. Curiosity burned brightly in Selene's gaze, tail wagging slightly. There were so many questions in this land, so many things she could think about. How... strange. Lovely, dark, and strange. The mid day sun would keep her company today.

She remembered once upon a time when she had been chased and nearly killed. To this day she didn't know what happened to that female, but she was glad that it had happened leading her towards Lirim. Though Hailey had intended on being a healer back then and now she was tasked with hunting, the second nature to herself. Disappointed a little, but she made the most of life as always and with Shiva by her side there was nothing to be afraid of.

Her owl sat upon her back as they moved through the range. Her thin muscles moving underneath her as she continued on, spotting another exploring the area. Hailey was not shy, if she found herself in danger she had an big snowy owl to distract and run away. That was more of Shiva's own decision as Hailey sometimes was... too friendly. Her tail wagged as she stepped forward, "Hello, odd morning isn't it?" Hailey's voice kept between the two. Not wanting to disturb or startle the stranger.

Through the high, dry grass, Selene stepped. Her gaze was contemplative, studying the flow of the land carefully. Her tail wagged gently, eyes peeled. Always looking, always searching. A mental map of the land, something that she would hold and commit to when she needed it. Everything was strange, all was lovely. Tail wagging loosely at her haunches, she wandered on. Carefully, Selene took note of the way that the foundation sprouted from the ground, a weird garden shaped like an open maw. Strange, but curious none the less. It still felt like she was looking at something not fit for her gaze.

A stranger drew near, catching Selene's eye, carrying a bird of prey upon her back. What a strange sight to behold, but Selene's tail wagged none the less. It was interesting to see someone that had bonded closely with another... she couldn't imagine doing it herself. Strange, but that was fine. Selene closes the gap, drawing to a comfortable distance with the stranger. "A bit... does it look like rain to you?" The clouds had gathered, but not tightly. A grey morning, but it was possible a storm was brewing. The moonscorned gestures to the sky with her nose, curious as ever.

When Hailey looked up, she did realize that the clouds were moving in. Her nose picking up the faint scent of rain as she shifted. Shiva fluffed herself up, the owl could feel rain coming. Which Hailey could as well. It smelt of one of her favorite things as the wolf smile and flicked her tail. It was always a joy when she met strangers willing to converse with her. Rather than the alternative of trying to harm and eat her. "It indeed does." Though the storm didn't seem ready to start crying on them. Hailey was not weather wolf anyway, as she looked to the stranger she flicked her ears.

"My name's Hailey and this is Shiva, it's a pleasure to meet you." Shiva gave a soft hoot, not feeling the need to conjecture or butt into the conversation. She was often an owl of few words to begin with. Here to make sure Hailey didn't get herself into trouble as she usually did.
